Rude salepeople
I went into Toys R Us today to see if they had the new LPS meerkat yet. One of the clerks came to my mom and I asking us if we wanted to get a rewards card which was like a credit card or something. My mom told her no thank you that she had already paid hers off. The clerk would not stop and kept going on and on about it. She literally got in our faces about it. Then sees my meerkat stuffed animal backpack and tells me how cute my “monkey” is. She then starts patting it and tugging on it. I cannot be polite and stand up for myself at the same time. I can either be polite and defenseless or just plain mean and nasty. I think I have some form of OCD because I feel I cannot touch it because it has her “funk” or germs all over it. I feel that way all the time when strange people touch me or my things without my permission. I don’t even like to touch other people’s things without their permission. When I was a kid if people so much as accidently brushed up against me you would think I was being killed. I would lash out and hit and kick and scream. Today I pretty much shut down. I can feel people's energy or "chi" when they are super close to me and it is painful. So not only was she messing with my meerkat she was hurting me. When I got home I found one of the “eye whiskers” on my meerkat missing. It’s possible that it was always like because it kind of gets tossed around here and there or it is just a factory goof up; but still it is possible she damaged it somehow. They don’t seem to make this kind of meerkat backpack anymore and this individual one is rather special to me. Maybe she wasn’t being rude on purpose but she sure lacked some simple manners. When we got home we told my dad what happened; my mom was pretty ticked about it too. My dad said she was probably mentally challenged somehow. She did not seem mentally challenged to me or my mom but my mom said she seemed to have had some Asperger’s traits. Since when is it an excuse for bad manners; and doesn’t the MRDD work with mentally challenged people on their manners before letting them into a workplace? Not only do I have to be asked about trying to fund the “cure” to my being at Toys R Us now I have to deal with rude people.

She probably gets a commission for each person she signs up for a rewards card. Or else she's being pressured by management.
Either way, she was still way out of line. Your mother would have been perfectly justified if she had told this person where to go and what to do with herself when she got there. I have walked out of stores and taken my business elsewhere many times because of people like this.
Your dad is not helping matters by finding excuses for this rude person's behavior.
Your mother should go to the Toys R Us corporate website and file a complaint about this salesperson.
