Here I am. I just exist. Nobody recognizes what I can contribute to humanity. I don't know if I'm actually adding value to the human race.

Your death would diminish us all.

Now, please have a seat, and someone else will be with you shortly.

A man said to the universe:
"Sir I exist!"
"However," replied the universe,
"The fact has not created in me
A sense of obligation."

just the fact that you feel bad cuz you can't change things for the better gives you value, better have a passive will power then no will power at all nor sympathy and awareness of the sh***y state of our globe. You my dear friend hold value, but this urge to change the world and humanity is not happening in the speed you want it to and so you feel useless, welcome to the club. Don't freak out, you're no tool. If you really wanna help take matter into your own hands, go volunteer or join some organization.

There are people on WP who want pen pals. You write well and you could fill their need and at the same time make a friend!

Start contributing to humanity! Someone is bound to notice sooner or later, even if it does look bleak to begin with.

I am a firm believer that we with AS should make an effort to contribute our skills/talents/etc. to humanity. And for that matter---shouldn't everyone (autistic/NT/etc.) try to contribute to humanity? So the challenge is---identify and find ways to contribute what it is that you have to humanity. For me, I am contributing my musical skills with dulcimers and keyboards to my music ministry. I am also contributing stories of hope and inspiration in these church services. Yes---it is a challenge. But it is rewarding.
