Idiots who say it's fake

How often do you hear idiots saying that either you just think you have AS or are pretending to have it to be "special" or even that it isn't even a real thing? (I'm diagnosed so apparently they think they know better than people with PhD's in Psychology.) They really have no idea what it's like and I'm sick of it.

I agree, OP, those people are just ignorant and stupid and have no idea what it's like for us.

Usually the people I see who say that online are asshat trolls in general.

The people I find more annoying are the ones that know your DX and know it's not a hoax but claim that you don't have it.

Ah, the 'you're to smart to be autistic' crowd. By god they drive me up the wall. Until that sentence came out of your mouth, you were too smart to be stupid, but that single sentence just kills it. People are ignorant sheeple, though a single person is alright.

I try not to let the people who think it's some sort of scam DX bother me. Obviously in their little utopia, nothing is ever wrong with anyone. They are probably the same people who tell you to 'perk up' when you're depressed.

I just love how they think that I'm just being a whiny brat and that my AS can be cured with a little more discipline.

Also the idiots who think it's funny to use "assburgers" or "asspies." I seriously doubt they'd make such jokes about a visible disability.

Yeah, it's stupid how some people think we're just "ret*ds" and make it a point to call us "ret*ds"...but then they try to be very respectful and polite to the people who ACTUALLY ARE ret*ds. Ugh

Any time anyone says something like that, you can say, "Fallacy of affirming the consequent." That's when they make something up that might be true, consistent with known facts, and then claim that it is true.

It pisses me off when I hear people saying it's become a new fad. I don't know if that is true or not or an opinion. I decided to make fun of that in my new fanfiction on South Park.

When I see people saying they don't believe in AS, I try to be nice about it still because they could mean they don't believe it should be a condition or they don't agree with the name like I don't agree with some labels out there like pregnorexia, shy eating, Lima syndrome, Stockholm syndrome, Gender Identity disorder and other conditions that talk about fetishes. Some labels are too out there it's ridiculous because anything that is in the minority or out of the norm, they like to make it a condition. Heck homosexual used to be a condition and they removed it from the DSM finally in 1973. I wonder if bisexuality was ever a "condition?"


I say "asspies" for as*holes who have AS. My own aspie friends don't mind it.

Yeah, that site is full of jerks. They ought to shut it down and put the people who run it in jail.
