They're going off like mad over here too. ;^^ I have to admit though, I do quite enjoy them now. The bangs still annoy me slightly, but I'm not as bad with them as I used to be (fireworks terrified me when I was little), and I like watching them as long as I have my ears covered at the time, or if they're far away enough that they're not too loud. :P

I'm fortunate in that I live out in the sticks, so there aren't many fireworks going off anywhere, if any. This makes it a lot more peaceful, although the village forework display always used to make my dogs really anxious and upset :(

earplugs on their own can be useless against fireworks depending on level of hearing sensitivity, ear defenders over the top keeps sound out better, worth a try if the plugs don't work on their own.

fireworks have been going off here to as if it's also bonfire night [do they not know the right day? obviously not, they've been at it for months] have been following original plan of action for monday-taken some opioids, bottle of alcohol, and earplugs and ear defenders combo, really hate the way people force fireworks on others,in close residential areas.

I like when there are lots of fireworks going off, it sounds like WW3.

I was scared of them as a child but learnt to enjoy them in my 20s, to the point of organising the work's annual bonfire party.

I love them visually but don't like the once that screech or just make huge bangs for the sake of being noisy.

But I have a dog now and she gets very anxious with both the sound and the sight of them. Last night I gave her some Rescue Remedy as I have heard or read several suggestions of that. I think it worked well, but I should have given it to her earlier in the evening before things kicked off.

Oh, and if you're wondering how, I put the RR on a piece of cheese and gave her the cheese to eat.

Not my EP's. I make my own from my own recipe. Nothing gets through that I don't want it to.

You know sometimes I get used to them... I get a little scared of them in bed seeing as I have a natural fear of loud noises and any large BOOMS! or anything to do with fire or weapons... It didn't help when my friend pointed his Legal air gun at me :? :)

Noise pis*ses me off. Big time. So why? Why even go there when it's not necessary? Planes, cars, trucks, jackhammers - whatever - I am now protected. Eyes too - with shades. That's the way it has to be - so fine - it is. Every once in a while I'll take them out to let my ears breath - and then wouldn't ya know it - a motorcycle comes zooming by.....But most of the time, I'm totally oblivious. Let em all go nuts, I've got Blissful Ears.

Fireworks drive me nuts, and they drive the animals crazy, too.
