I've created this thread to list weird things NTs do.

I will begin:

They say things like good morning to people even though they don't want to start a conversation.

Someone once grabbed my leg on the train...I think that was pretty weird.

I don't think they were entirely NT though...I think they would have had to be insane to do that.

they are more interested in doing mundane things with boring people, than doing interesting things on their own. I know some NTs who don't feel "complete" unless they are with somebody, anybody... weird.

I get like that though sometimes.

How long have you got?

Socialising
Teasing
Hanging around in groups of at least 2 people
Body language
Always craving fun
Unable to think outside of the social group.

...

They know their likes and dislikes INSTANTLY, and will expect you to make snap decisions about things that need thinking about.

Also they say '"I never have done such and so and I never will do such and so"' with such conviction, never thinking for a moment all the times they have changed their minds over the time of their lives and how things change and how people change.

Make rules and expect everyone else to follow them.

They go to two or more social events, or crowded places in one day, and not only consider it doable, but FUN.

I've seen alot of weird things NT's do, they like to act stupid I know that, in my school they sometimes make loud annoying sounds in class, there unable to think for themselves, always want people to do the thinking for them, they get mad when you are poor at a sport and on there team, don't you hate it when they say "what the heck, are you afraid of the ball" They like to pick on eachother way to much, I feel like I have to say something funny all the time, the conversation seems so shallow sometimes, it feels like the only reason to talk is to gain there acceptence.

And yeah how can you consider places with soooo many people fun, I hate soo many people, it's just like I'm going to lay down on the floor and go to sleep I feel so socialy drained.

Agreed. They always tell me to smile, too. I don't like them imposing their view on me.
Once my Russian penpal was irritated with rude tourists, and promptly sent me a picture of the Joker and said "AMERIKANS!" He said Russian people (typically) think Americans are just "too much" with the smiling and chit-chat. I laughed pretty hard about that for some reason.
In reality, I believe my friend may be undiagnosed with AS. Very technical, talks about computer programming 24/7, doesn't understand metaphor... No wonder I like him lol.

I also don't understand when NT people ask each other "how are you?" when they don't care, or other mundane questions that have nothing to do with anything.

Like the weather! I don't understand this, or how to keep this chat going. Either It's raining or It's not. It just is not a topic which merits further discussion.

oh! JONDALAR! oh, Jondalar!
(sorry, I have read Jean Auel's books many, many times and I just could't help myself!)
the conversation seems so shallow sometimes, it feels like the only reason to talk is to gain there acceptence.
isn't it interesting how we are driven to gain their acceptance when we don't give two hoots about them as personalities. Matter of fact we know far too much of their personalities to actually want to associate with them. Yet we stress and manuver and make our mouths and eyes do what they can inturpret as they are 'ok' when they could care less about us or how we feel.

what's up with that?

Heh :) , I just finished the secound book and I'm going to start the 3rd very soon, it's one of the best series that I have read so far.

Yeah it is very odd now that everyone mentions it, everyone is expected to say how are you doing and everyone responds the same 99% (I'm good) of the time it's so pointless, and yeah the conversations about the weather, who cares. I'm not very interested in gaining the acceptence of the vast majority, and everyone does seem to tell me to smile, and theres no reason to smile, i don't see the point, smiling doesn't make you happier, least not me. Theres probably alot more, I will think of when I go back to school.

I especially don't understand it when they ask "how are you?" and show they don't really care by not waiting for an answer. Once in a while I'll get someone say, "What's up?" or "How's it going?" and then keep walking before I can even answer! They might as well just not say anything.
