Chatting on the phone?! Why would I want to do that?!

If someone attempts to chat with me on the phone I find out where they are and go talk to them in person.

:D

I don't mind it anymore. Like it? Depends on the day. Depends on the conversation.

I associate the word, "chatting", with gossip and small talk, so I select "No". However, I do enjoy using the phone to talk to people about things that interest me.

I carry my phone around just in case but only talk very breifly. I use the phone more as just a way to quickly communicate the nessissary stuff and put off the BS until I see them in person usually. Sometimes tho I carry my cell around I sometimes turn off the ringer or dont answer it.

I can't stand it! Not only because I usually run out of things to say, and thereby can't really hold the conversation, but also because I get easily bored while talking on the phone. I only enjoy phone conversations when there's something that I need to find out or need talk about.

Of course not, I'm an aspie and chatting on the phone puts me at a social disadvantage because I don't pick up inflexions in tone.

I prefer writing since that puts everyone on a level playing field.

there was a book on ADD - You mean I'm not Crazy...Lazy...* and in it were some really good illustrations that i totally identified with...one of them being the bane of my existance, ringing pjones and having to answer them. too bad i no longer have that book - i'd;ve scanned the visuals for you to get an idea about my feelings on the subject...

nuff said.

no... although I do find it quite easy to do pretend NT in a work context since i learnt to copy my previous boss's phone manner, and lots of her phrases, so sometimes i get a kick out of that.
