My connection is too slow to watch videos, but i wanted to post anyway and mention that the thread title made me think of fireflys...

If you've ever had a firefly get smooshed on your windshield, it leaves a glowing splotch.

i had (& still do if i am honest) an obsession with luminol (the chemical in glow sticks). i spent over 40 hours (not continously, over 3 weeks) in a dark cupboard doing experiments with luminol for my year 13 chemistry project, it was amazing!

Will It Blend is AWESOME! I have watched every video, researched the blenders on their site, and showed off the videos to multiple friends and family.

I don't think it's awesomeness is limited to just Aspies.. I am an NT and everyone I know loves it. :)

Cool! I was obsessed with luciferin for a long time, though I've never actually seen a firefly (too far north). I've been meaning to research synthetic phosphors in the back of my mind for the longest time... now's a good time to start. :)

Oh yes, and the website is very entertaining. 8O

At the beginning the man isn't actually speaking... he's just moving his mouth to some words...

Luciferin is the enzyme that fireflies oxidize, which makes them glow... But I don't think it's the same thing as in the glowsticks. :)
