She doesn't do much except attend ceremonies actually. They say we're just a monarchy in name only.

Shes not. Functionally she takes no part in law making/governing, Effectively, if she tried to make some decree, it would hold no weight or it would cause an embarrassment.

And if you look at England, shes not much more than a figure head there either. Do you really think Britain is not a democracy as well?
