[quote="Awesomelyglorious"]...every guilt resurrects itself torments your soul, and every flaw, every fear, every hated thing about you, is brought to like and seared. This continues eternally...quote]

reminds me of when Charles Freck tries to kill himself in A scanner darkly by overdose and a bottle of wine, and hallucinates instead:

"Suddenly a being from between dimensions stands at the foot of his bed, and begins to read his sins to him from the day he was born, and would continue to read them for all eternity...
...A thousand years later, they have reached highschool, when Freck first discovered masturbation...
Interdimensional being continues reading...
Charles Freck thought, 'At least I got a good wine'."

Unbeliever, you should read a short story called 'Other People' by Neil Gaiman.

It involves torture in Hell of both a literal and psychological kind, with a rather nice twist ending.

Having to act perfectly NT 24/7.
My life being controlled by someone else, having no freedom.
Being permanently cut off from all friends and family.
Constant torment from every negative feeling imaginable, as well as constantly jumbled thoughts.
Lots of animal cruelty.

Hell is a place of torment, but not simply physical pain. It would be blended with psychological torture and it would have to get worse for all eternity. Ensuring that the person can never get used to it.

However I think Hell is reserved only for truly evil people so convinced of their path that they would tell God himself on Judgement day that they're path is better then his.

Being stuck in a big warm fluorescently lit room full of noisy annoying people without books, internet access, musical instruments, computers, programmable calculators, or paper/writing instruments. Everything is chalky and dusty, I have a migraine, and I know it'll never end...

More seriously, what awesomelygloriously said. I don't believe Hell actually exists though.

Sensory deprivation through sensory overload.

Hell is a paradox of the human body.

Being stuck at an airport, the days pass by, hundreds of thousands
of people come and go before you, and you wait and wait and wait..

Hospitals. You have to put up with the agony of other patients, are sympathized by the good doctors and treated poorly by the bad, are in a cold and smelly place with bad food, tubes in you, and are awaiting another surgery which will end with dizziness and vomiting. Constant fear, pain, and nausea.
