I learned that potting soil bags are full of it when they say you don't have to feed your plants for 4 months. The fertilizer included in peat-based potting mixes lasts 6 weeks at best. No wonder my garlic plants are turning yellow!

I learned a new word reading this thread.... Dastardly. Plus, but that was more yesterday evening, I saw some work by an artist called Luke Chueh and I really like his work. Here's a link to his site. Cool stuff.

I learned all about ODD: oppositional defiant disorder. A friend of mine has a daughter who exhibits all the characteristics, and we are trying to figure out what the heck is up.

I also learned all about the Loquat (Eriobotrya japonica), as I was gifted a Loquat tree for x-mas, and I needed to figure out what to do with it.

I am satisfied in my newfound knowledge.

A hangover from drinking Vodka is mild compared to a hangover from drinking darker spirits such as bourbon. (I did a practical experiment... I didn't just read it)

That Aspiewordsmith is another NT-bigot trolling this forum.

Lucky you! Loquats are delicious! I have a loquat tree outside my front door, but hard freezes made a poor fruit harvest, 2 years in a row.
