I played a game of human fusball. I think I kicked the soccer ball to hard or something and hurt my foot...or ankle. I thought it was just sore or something because it never got swollen or anything. Its been about 30 minutes longer then 4 days that I have been limping slightly on it. I think its getting worse.

So, its right below where the bone juts out where it hurts the most. Then about 3 inches above there, a little into my lower leg it feels a little sore. Sometimes it stops hurting and sometimes I feel like I cant walk on it anymore. Like I said before it is not swollen at all. Do you guys think its just twisted or sore or is it something else?

You probably sprained it. Do you have a tensor bandage that you could wrap around your ankle? It will give it more support when you walk and that would be beneficial.

I have something that is supposed to be for a wrist but would probably work for an ankle.

Thanks! I'll do that now! :D

same boat only 17 years ago (was it really that long ago I graduated high school???)

anyway, I was playing basketball with my english teacher and I landed on my foot wrong and he told me to walk it off and it worked. I never heard of that before and it's never worked since. How did he know that that particular twisted ankle would have gotten better by me walking on it?

I have little bird-ankles as a result of my walking on my toes. I used to have a serious sprain on the average of twice a year to the point where I could not walk for at least a week. I do not look forward to it happening again. Rest Ice Elevation and Compression....and once I was even prescribed Vicodin. It had swollen so big that I thought it was broken. If you can still walk you should be ok..but you ought to keep some kind of support on it because when you are limping you are vulnerable to re-injure it.

You might have pulled some tendons or ligaments in there or something.

I must hae done something funny to it. You know how an ankle can rotate around 360 degrees? I can do it fine with one ankle but the one that hurts can only bend like that in 1 direction. It can bend in fine, up and down can be done to a certain extent though it hurts and I cant bend it outwards at all. Its weird...maybe my ankle is just stiff and thats why it doesnt swell and doesnt move right? :?

Thanks guys! Hopefully in a couple days it'll be back to normal.
