I don't have one, nor any other kind of portable music-playing device. I dislike them because I dislike the way a person's music player will pollute space around it with second-hand music. I also don't enjoy having the buds in my ear.

No, but I got something comparable: The T-Mobile G1. I currently have a 8GB mirco SDHC card inside, and about 3.2 GB of it are music. As a matter of fact, I may not need a iPod because I own a G1.

yes and i'm starting to realize that i want a zune or something else. it rates and unrates my song which really bothers me. i've heard that zunes are really great. i've never really liked the name ipod either. it sounds so narcissistic.

itunes is annoying as well. if you purchase a song in the itunes store on your account then you can only access that song in your library on the computer you purchased it on. the song only exists on one computer and your ipod. don't get me started on that stupid Genius thing they made. it's annoying.

I refuse to use anything other than a MP3 PLAYER. I'm not changing to a proprietary format which can include all kinds of digital rights (and therefore problems).

For that reason both iPod and Zune are out.

Aside from which, my Blackberry plays MP3's really well.

I got the new nano for Christmas (which had to be exchanged immediately, as I didn't like the colour....picky picky)
Then I tunes promptly "stole" my laptop CD driver so it wouldn't work ..(vaio, apparently a common problem).
Half the stuff I like/want isn't on I tunes...never imports the artwork either...grrr
Last gripe-the shuffle feature seems to be in love with Danzig and Westbam(which don't exactly go together) you'd think I had nothing else on it...

I use it, but I also have my no-mark MP3 player as a back up..as I don't think I could endure a train journey without. Plus it helps with ignoring market research people

Yep, I've got an ipod touch. One of the best things I've bought in the last few years. I can get on the net with it most places. The best part is I don't have to carry my laptop for the net at college all the time, I just use the ipod. Plus, music, movies, and ipod touch/iphone games and apps.
