It came from somewhere in here http://www.shorpy.com/
Is a BBC studio in Palestine, if I remember caption right.

and the sad thing is most of them are pretty much essential really, at least to my life, from left to right we have

mailwasher, lets me screen email from 4 different accounts.
seamonkey web browser.
webcam software.
the safely remve hardware icon.
internet connection status.
local area network status.
msn.
utorrent, still seeding files.
outlook.
dyndns client, updates my ip so i can vnc in remotely if i need.
ati display drivers.
nokia pc suite, talks to my phone.
logitech keyboard and mouse utility.
system uptime utility.
tight vnc server.
iiBar, scrapes my usage data from my isp so i can monitor how much of my download quota i have used.
asus pc probe, sits there and tell temp and fan speeds and uses up too much memory.
unlocker, lets me delete files that are supposedly in use by another program.
nod32 antivirus
volume
winamp
sound card utility
windows frikkin security center.

how many is that 23? sorry for the probably unneccessary story, back to your regularly scheduled programming.

This is a screen-shot of my net-book. No point in having a fancy wallpaper on a 9"x6" screen that is full of icons and other stuff such
as Google Desktop....

Image

Edit:

And here is the same screen-shot being reviewed on my other computer:

So your computer takes like 15 minutes to boot up? Sorry for the caps but this was the easiest way to distinguish my inline comments.

mailwasher, lets me screen email from 4 different accounts SO CAN OUTLOOK
seamonkey web browser A WHAT???? WHY USE AN UNKNOWN BROWSER?
webcam software KILL THE BACKGROUND PROCESS AND START THE SOFTWARE ONLY WHEN YOU ARE USING THE CAMERA.
the safely remve hardware icon. PART OF THE OS SO OKAY
internet connection status. WHY? YOU PRETTY MUCH KNOW WHEN YOU ARE OR ARE NOT ON THE INTERNET.
local area network status REDUNDANT, BUT OKAY SINCE IT IS A PART OF THE OS
msn KILL THE BACKGROUND PROCESS AND START THE SOFTWARE ONLY WHEN YOU ARE USING IM
utorrent, still seeding files. IF YOU ARE DOWNLOADING EXEs FROM TORRENT YOU PROBABLY HAVE VIRUSES ON THE SYSTEM WHICH YOU AREN'T EVEN AWARE OF
outlook. OKAY, THE STUPID SYSTRAY ICON CAN'T BE REMOVED. LAME.
dyndns client, updates my ip so i can vnc in remotely if i need. GET A STATIC IP?
ati display drivers. NO THAT'S JUST THEIR MARKETING BS. KILL IT AND THE DISPLAY WILL STILL WORK. USE DISPLAY PROPERTIES TO CHANGE SETTINGS
nokia pc suite, talks to my phone. KILL THE BACKGROUND PROCESS AND START THE SOFTWARE ONLY WHEN YOU ARE TALKING TO THE PHONE
logitech keyboard and mouse utility. ABSOLUTELY NOT NEEDED. KILL IT AND YOUR KEYBOARD AND MOUSE WILL STILL WORK JUST FINE
system uptime utility. WHY? WHO CARES!
tight vnc server. OMG UNINSTALL THAT THING RIGHT NOW! VNC IS INSECURE AND SLOW AND HAS SCREEN REDRAW ISSUES. NOT TO MENTION REDUNDANT. YOU ALREADY HAVE REMOTE DESKTOP BUILT INTO THE OS. CONNECTION IS ENCRYPTED!
iiBar, scrapes my usage data from my isp so i can monitor how much of my download quota i have used. STOP USING TORRENT AND YOU WON'T NEED THIS!
asus pc probe, sits there and tell temp and fan speeds and uses up too much memory. WHO CARES. IF YOUR COMPUTER STARTS CRASHING, THEN CHECK THE FANS AND THE TEMP
unlocker, lets me delete files that are supposedly in use by another program. NAW THAT IS JUST A GUI FRONT END FOR A WINDOWS API. YOU CAN KILL FILES IN USE AT THE COMMAND PROMPT. OR JUST STOP THE PROCESS WHICH IS HOLDING THEM OPEN.
nod32 antivirus OKAY AV IS EVIL AND SLOW BUT WE HAVE NO CHOICE, DO WE?
volume BUILT IN VOLUME? OKAY THEN. 3RD PARTY ADDED THERE BY AUDIO DRIVERS? EVIL. KILL IT.
winamp KILL THE BACKGROUND PROCESS AND START THE SOFTWARE ONLY WHEN YOU ARE PLAYING MUSIC. OR USE MEDIA PLAYER
sound card utility KILL THAT. THE SOUND WILL BE JUST FINE TRUST ME. MORE MARKETING BS. THEY WANT THEIR ICON IN YOUR FACE AT ALL TIMES
windows frikkin security center. PART OF THE OS SO IT ISN'T REALLY SLOWING ANYTHING DOWN. PERSONALLY I USE GROUP POLICY TO MANAGE THE SECURITY SETTINGS SO I'VE DISABLED THE SECURITY CENTER

Haha, not unneccessary, i was looking through trying to figure out the programs out of pure nerdy curiousity anyways =P. I'm super anal about system resources so try to run as little as possible. It bugs me to death if that tray starts filling up. My computer in my office has about a dozen going on and it always annoys me =P.

I know there's a thing in this machine to capture an image of what's on the screen but I haven't got a clue where to find it, or even what it is named.

Thanks :D Now a different picture is there. I use a screensaver wallpaper program http://www.webshots.com/ which is a free downloaded program where photos can be downloaded from their site or added from thing you find.
Can be set to cycle photos at different intervals or leave it up till you tell it different.

It has become a minor obsession to find photos to save and put in it
