Absolutely. I just can't give up my love of Ford pickups. I come from farming country so it's in my roots. ;)

It's a girl, my Lord, in a flatbed Ford!

1997 Mercury Villager minivan---my everyday car for going to work and hauling our two sons
2003 Jeep Grand Cherokee---my wife's everyday car for going to her job, and what we pull the camper with
2007 Saturn Relay crossover---what we use for long trips
1977 Mustang T-Top convertible (customized by Ford)---my first car, it stays in the garage. It goes out rarely---like in parades.

Previous cars:

Datsun 120Y (B210) panel van, bit of a rare beast, but they all shared the rust and broken door hinges.
Datsun 120Y station wagon, hand me down from the parents, the first car I ever hit 100mph in lol.
HQ Holden wagon, huge and thirsty and slow, fun while it went though.
74 VW Bus, wish I still had it, if only because the values on them have shot up out of all proportion as baby boomers try and recapture their lost youth.
95 Nissan K11 Micra (aka Nissan March). Cheap, reliable, and fun.

This is me doing a skid pan day in my current machine, a few seconds before I spun out lol. Great fun in the twisties.

That looks like lots of fun, I want to do something like that one day, might have to organize something like that with my car club (x-seriesfords.com) some day...

Yeah, would be fun in a falcon lol, better hope your XD has power steering though, be a lot of wheel twirling. I've got an AU out in the carport waiting for me to throw some money at it that was always good fun for doing skids in.

Have you looked at doing a course through DECA or someone like that?

I have owned lots of cars over the years but only two that I really loved.

The first was my Mk. 2 Mini Cooper S and the second was my present car a Suzuki Jimny Sierra which is the cutest little 4wd in the world.

I've only owned two cars (I'm only almost 22.)

My first car was a 99 'T' reg bright red Fiat Seicento Sporting called Vebby, which my brother broke! I was so upset. Not the safest or most powerful car in the world, and pretty basic, but it taught me to be a good driver (do not want to crash something like that) and you could squeeze it into the smallest of spaces. I miss my awful little lawn-mower sometimes.

My present car is a 2008 '08' reg luna grey (silver) Seat Ibiza 1.2 Reference Sport (read: 'it is noisy and the suspension is a bit hard so we shall stick 'sport' on it to get away it') that I absolutely adore. Compared to the Seicento, all I can do is quote Jeremy Clarkson and shout, "POWWWEEERRR!". It's rather speedy for it's engine size. I call it Meg. It was a car I hadn't thought of getting, but after a year of looking at cars I got fed up and just pointed randomly to one and said "That one!" Plus, it was the only car with alloy wheels (rims?), electric windows, CD/Mp3player, and air conditioning for under £9000 new.

Hahaha, yeah, my XD has power steering, getting the tail out on a skid pan day in a car as big as a falcon stationwagon would be a bit of a challenge without it, haha! My previous car (the blue XF) above I got the tail out (not hard to do, even if not trying here in rainy melbourne with a manual transmission and LSD), and that didn't have power steering, which made it nearly impossible to catch in time, so I was careful after that experience!

Wish I still had one of the 2 Escorts I had, they would have been perfect for a skid pan day. :(

AU hey? Forte? 6 cyl? A lot of people bag the AUs, but they're not a bad car, just the styling isn't to everyones taste. I get a bit of flack about my XD, but like I say to people, if the only real problem I experience with a 30 year old car is that the door handles occasionally need to be replaced, big deal, that's nothing compared to an engine rebuild or transmission swap, and my XD is still running it's original engine and transmission.

Yes, looked into doing a course like that ages ago, got put off by the price, but might look into it again now that I've got a little spare cash, good idea!

2008 Honda Civic Sedan

My previous car was a 1997 Pontiac Grand Prix; man, that thing gave me trouble all the years I owned it.

None of my vehicles are cars. I have a Dodge-badged Mercedes cargo van, a Dodge-badged Mitsubishi 4x4 pickup and a Honda 650 VLX motorcycle.

I drive an '02 Chevrolet Prizm named Steve. Here he is having a nice time in the Smoky Mountains.

My first car was an '03 Dodge Neon. I lost her in a tragic accident two years ago. I'd love another one - 'twas a great car.

I drive a jeep, before that it was a processions of old land rovers. I still have two landys in the shed. Plus about a thousand land rover magazines etc. Little bit of an obsession.

I've always loved Ford trucks. After I'm settled independently I'm gonna search for a mid-'90s pickup or Bronco.

I currently drive a '97 Ford Explorer, though my father still owns it. I take her on the highway every weekend to commute 200 miles (in total) between my hometown and college. Never had an accident, never had mechanical problems, the only car in the family that doesn't have a single dent. But she will be sent back to the dealership because of a recall notice.
