No not being drunk and drinking alot like maybe 1 drink or 2 how does it make you feel (physically speaking and mentally if you want to get into that aswell) For me physically every bone in my body aches and I feel sluggish and my heart feels like it's going faster. LOL! Can't think of anything mentally because I don't drink enough to affect me that way. :-)

Unfortunately, having a couple of drinks causes me to feel relaxed, talkative, and slightly euphoric. A nice little buzz. It's unfortunate because these are positive associations. My brain wants more. So I drink to excess. I never just have "a drink or two". I pretty much only drink to get drunk.

Which is why I've had to stop drinking altogether. Alcoholism is very heavily represented on both sides of my family, and I know that I follow the same pattern of self-medicating anxiety with booze. I'm not going to wreck my life the way I've seen so many others wreck theirs.

So hopefully I will soon enough forget how I feel after drinking alcohol :)

It takes a lot for me to feel anything. I'm sure it might affect me a little bit but I can't tell. It's one of the reasons why I don't like to drink often.

It actually makes me feel reaaally spacey. I lose touch with my body and start to feel numb first in my face/lips and then it spreads. Eventually I can forget that I even exist

It also makes me behave like someone who is "high" on like weed or something. I think about really bizarre things and think regular mundane things are supremely awesome.

Mentally I don’t change at all; physically I will eventually get extremely uncoordinated after enough drinks.

I drink very rarely (although I have a naturally high tolerance for alcohol for some reason) but when I do I feel more masterful and self confident...more me.

I wouldn't want to risk becoming an alcoholic (alcoholism is on both sides of my family tree) so I usually stay away from the stuff.

I wanted to spit it out immediately. I can't drink anyway because I am on Paxil.

Tried it a couple a weeks ago in a roomful of responsible supervising adults.

A couple of drinks made my muscles feel very relaxed. Like someone had "loosened my strings." But that's it.
I couldn't hold my glass as securely, because my muscles were so relaxed. I kept dropping the silverware, because I couldn't get a good grip. I was, however, able to walk in a straight line.
I didn't feel any more talkative, nor were my inhibitions reduced, thank goodness!

I found the experience to be very unpleasant, because I hate not being able to control my muscles. I wonder what would've happened if I had a few more drinks. 8O

Besides, alcohol tastes bad, even when mixed with other beverages. To me, it is NOT worth drinking a yucky-tasting liquid in order to experience undesirable symptoms.

I hardly drink at all, but when I do it usually makes me feel more socially relaxed after about three. I hate hangovers though. And it only takes a few drinks to mess with my sleep. Also, drinking alcohol often leaves me feeling that one of my nostrils is blocked. I hate feeling lopsided! My chemist said some people get a blocked nose after drinking because their blood vessels dilate.

I don't dance in public.. unless I've been drinking!

I don't ask whoever is driving the car to pull over so I can get out and puke.. unless I've been drinking!

I don't worry what people think about who I am or how I act WHEN I am drinking..

So for me there are good and bad things that come from it.. but in the end, it's more BAD than good!

Well, I have never had a drink (it would be a little sad at my age, and I dont plan on ever drinking anyway) but this reminded me that once in school we tried on those drunk goggle things that are supposed to distort things similar to if you are drunk. haha, as soon as I put them on I fell over. It didnt even take 5 seconds. And I did quite poorly on the line test and catching wods of paper, actually I couldnt pick up a wad of paper.

But, I have no idea how accurate those things are. Only that they gave me one heck of a headache afterwards.

Has anybody else tried those?

i feel less concerned about accuracy and i feel more impatient to say things i have not thought through.

i lose my credibility in my own mind when i have had alcohol. i do not believe what i think and i am reticent to say anything because i do not care for appropriateness and accuracy after consuming alcohol to a degree where i am affected mentally by it.

i know i will never be happy with what i did under the influence of alcohol, so i do not really like it much at all.

It just effects my speech and of course I would dance very badly but it does not effect my mood. I remember binge episodes when I was young and stupid I would just simply get sick - very sick.

1. It intensifies what mood I was in before I began drinking.

2. I get clumsier than usual.

3. I get more dissociated than usual.

4. I get sleepy.
