That's the best I can explain it. You either start to fall asleep before you're ready, or start to wake up and become aware you're lying on your bed, and so you fight to open your eyes. It's really unpleasant and vulnerable, for some reason. Know what I mean?

I always struggle upong waking up.

Fortunately, since I started to sleep with a cpap, it's much easier, as I don't have headaches, or feel dizzy.

OMG, YES!! !

I hate having to get up at a time that I'm not ready to get up. Since I'm still in school, I have to get up around six in the morning Mondays thru Fridays. It's awful. :(

Unfortunelately I have that problem all the time.... I literally have to set up 6 alarms to wale myself up and sometimes that doesn't work but that's the best that I have like ever done to myself.

I used to struggle even more last year because I had to get up around like 6 in the morning to get ready to go school... I couldn't get up and it either would of been my mum or my sister tht would of ended up waking me up... Sometimes, I would of missed the school bus to go to school because of it and then fall asleep on the bus sometimes.

Now I go to college even though I should of went last year but I was in special ed for a long time, I had to learn how to get myself up which is hard... Sometimes I would get up but then I lose my ability to walk until like 10 minutes later.

If I get a day job, I'd go nuts... because I love my sleep when I want to. :)

I find that this is a big struggle for me. It takes me 5 minutes to open my eyes in the morning, when my alarm goes off. It takes me ten minutes to open my eyes, if I'm in the middle of a dream. I have my alarm set for 4 in the morning, so I have plenty of time to get to my 6 AM job, on time.

LOL!! ! Wow, I don't think I communicated what I meant.

I don't mean that you WANT to go back to bed. I mean that you WANT to wake up, but can't. It's like you're struggling to wrest yourself from sleep paralysis, but your body isn't ready to wake up.

I don't have this problem. Unfortunately, I am a very light sleeper and the moment my mind clicks on I am completely awake, there is no going back. I have no groggy, partially awake stupor. I am either completely awake or out like a light.

I have episodes where I have a night terror, and I struggle to move, and get up, afterwards.
