Cinnamon and Vanilla, the perfume of my first real friend. (There is a bunch of other stuff in it as well)

It always reminds me of her, and now we finally have facebook contact, hope to set up a date soon.

Coffee beans, or coffee percolating on the stove (don't like the taste at all, though)
Twinings Four Fruits tea
the orange-vanilla oil that my wife will dab behind her ears sometimes, just for me
freshly-sawn lumber
old, old records
the spaghetti sauce that I make
roast beef in the oven
a bakery
mimeograph ink (bet a lot of you aren't old enough to have smelled it)
the smell before it rains
black licorice
freshly-laundered bed sheets
old-fashioned hardware stores - the mingling of the smells of all the things they sell
real potpourri (not the fake kind in a bag from Wal-mart)
lavender

The last two remind me that the most heavenly smell I've ever smelled was the Horticulture building at the Canadian National Exhibition in Toronto (they tore it down years ago). They had thousands of flowers on display, and the mixture hit you as you walked in the door. If there's a heaven, I imagine it should smell like that.

The smell of Spring... probably my favorite.

Stippers... I don't know if they have special parfumes but they often smelled amazing. (Its been a decade or so since I smelled one though so here are some everyday favorites)

Cedar

Peat moss

Pine sap

Patchuly oil (I don't know how to spell it, its like a parfume)

A wood fire

Brewing Coffee

Baking Bread

oranges

Hot Japanese motorcycle engines.

Dinner, when I'm hungry nothing smells better.

I was thiking about this thread as I worked and I missed three big favorites.

The smell of an oncoming storm in the late spring.

Cured concrete.

Black soil

The rubbery smell of sport sections in department stores in the spring/summer. The smell is much weaker these days than it was twenty five years ago. I guess they are making stuff out of synthetics more now.

Whoa that's a great call. I'd never have thought of it but that is an awesome smell.

Also...

Marijuana (fresh or burning, preferably fresh)--that's been a favorite smell of mine since long before I ever tried smoking it.

As many other have said, campfires.

Vietnamese pho (quite possibly the best of all).

Freshly brewed, high-end coffee/espresso.
