Just wanted to make a "Post the Weird Habit/Interest" thread. It pretty much speaks for itself except I wanted to make it each person must pick a different habit & indicate if they have any of the other ones posted previously with a number. (Ex. If I indicate "spinning in circles"& the third person after me posts "sniffing tires" but also spins in circles, they'd put "sniffing tires & #1")

1. Spinning in circles in sets of 3,7,13 or until I make people sick

3. Pausing in the middle of a movie to get up and move around because I can't sit anymore.

i sometimes have been known to take my noise reduction remainders/edit remainders and make weird sounds with them, using various dsp schemes.

i like "dx-ing" or seeking the most distant radio and tv stations to watch- back in the analog tv days, the most distant station i ever received with just a portable tv and rabbit ears, was from portland, oregon [roughly 150 miles distant] during temperature inversions, also southern canada [CBUT-2 and CHEK-6, also 150 miles or so]. unfortunately, now that everything is HD digital, the furthest one can get, using the most humongous antenna high atop a tree, is KVOS-12 in bellingham, which is at the edge of line-of-sight but still requires a helpful temperature inversion to get. the low VHF stations are the easiest to dx due to the maximum usable frequency [for dx wave propagation] being above the low-VHF channel frequencies.
the most distant AM radio station i ever heard was in los angeles [approx. 1200 miles as the crow flies], probably KFI-640. the most distant FM station was in san francisco [approx. 800 miles distant], i think it was KBAY 94.5- during a temperature inversion once again.

Picking my nose and eating it, in the privacy of my own apartment.

I think normal people do that too. :-D ... but I always wanted to take out a bed in the middle of a farm grass and stare up.

That reminds me of a saying....

"You can pick your nose and you can pick your friends but you cant pick your friends nose." HAR!

Speaking of noses I like to smell things.....I wont go into great detail but just as some smells are pleasant to me some are repulsive. I drive my husband nuts because I am always complaining that something smells bad (bionic nose). He cant smell so I have enough olfactory sense for both of us. Im very obsessed with laundry because of the smells and I can still smell my husband from his freshly laundered clothes. I also like the smells of the top of my kids and my husbands heads and my cats fur. I like the smell of my hands which is part of the reason I rub my face a lot.

Sitting outside in the rain and meditating. I am most comfortable there.
