I am so not a morning person.

If I'm going to work:
I wake up briefly, send a message, fall back to sleep. A couple hours later, I wake up and send another message. Depending on how tired I am, I might stay up and keep talking for another hour or two, then fall back to sleep. By the time I drag myself out of bed, it's usually noon. I get up, change into my clothing for the day, go to the restroom and brush my hair, put on makeup, etc. Then I go downstairs, grab my purse, and go.

If I'm going to school:
I wake up briefly, send a message, fall back to sleep. A couple hours later, I wake up and send another message. I get up, change into my clothing for the day, go to the restroom and brush my hair, put on makeup, etc. Then I go downstairs, eat a really quick "meal" (like a fruit cup or something), put some things from my purse into my backpack, grab that, and go.

I like to start my day, with a cup of coffee or tea, I'm switching back to tea in the mornings, soon, go on WrongPlanet and listen to different songs, on YouTube. I would like to start my days with Tea and breakfast, before leaving for work at 5:45, instead of coffee and Cheese Strings.

MissConstrue, what you wrote in your post is exactly how i feel at times. I seem to feel pretty bored and sluggish and unmotivated during the day. I am not really sure what to do about it, hopefully one day we wil both find positive changes happening in our situations...

Moog, interesting your writing abot a dream journal. I used to keep one at high school. Perhaps i should incorporate that into my morning routine. Meditation is a good idea too but I dont really have any space here to do it... i am kind of living in a really cold garage/loft at the moment, it was a lot easier to do it when I had a cosy room of my own...

I drink quite a bit of tea, and coffee when i have lunch in town. That helps a bit..

I see some people like Earlgreyhot and Rainsong have pretty organised mornings... I wish I was like that but I tend to find it hard to follow routines...

CockneyRebel, I see i am not the only one trying to get better morning habits happening...

Pretty much all I have time to do is get dressed, put my shoes on and rush for work.

Though lately I've been sleeping after work.. I usually lay in bed for 45 minutes, then pretty much I don't pay attention to what I do.. flip on the TV, mess around with other electronic devices for 8 hours or so until it's time for work..

Wake up.

Think "dsdubwidqwdvvAYS*(^(**^#^
??????????????????????????????????????????????????????????
??????????????????????????????????????????????????????????
??????????????????????????????????????????????????????????"

Try to go back to sleep.

Eventually drag myself out of bed. Usually have breakfast, but occasionally check my email first.

^ Yeah, that is what I would like to do...

today I am eating breakfast, and the bananas in my breakfast taste very strange and bitter... dodgy supermarket produce...

and there are 4 lambs bleating outside, if I open the curtains they will see me and the bleats will get louder :D .

Get up, have coffee, make porridge. Go to my room and check emails, wash up, have a shower and get dressed. Love mornings :).

every morning is slightly different. I have no set order or steps but basically coffee, shower, get dressed, get school things together, email, leave for school. I get up at 6am and watch the news sometimes or do other things around the house or computer

I go to sleep and wake up at nearly the same time everyday. That's the best routine. If I'm too tired from waking up too early, I'm irritable and have a short attention span. If I cannot get out of bed, I at least roll over and turn on the radio. That way, I will not fall back asleep, but I get the benefit of a little more rest. A cup of coffee (or two) is a must. I sometime sit in the kitchen and enjoy the sunshine in silence or read the newspaper online. Shower, dress, and possibly a walk in the park if the weather is nice. It's all about dealing with negativity in the morning. Once I get past "I'm too tired to go to work" or "Life sucks", the rest of the day is slightly more tolerable.
