Here's what I like:
Pioneer of traditional animation. Not China. Awesome food if you know where to look. Birth place of Microsoft (Apple if it's your thing). Superior amusement parks.

And that's all I can think of for the moment!

the fact its close to canada

Remarkably beautiful landscapes. The southern deserts in Arizona or the swamps in Florida, the chaparral covered hills of Southern California.

Pretty effective implementation of a political system that both supported the rights of people and left a good mechanism for adjusting to the times. (France tried, but the French Revolution didn't quite work out so well.) Granted, it certainly hasn't been perfect here in the U.S. to which I think native Americans, blacks, Asians, homosexuals etc can attest, but we have made some progress. Right now I think we are headed backward but the system is designed so that some of these travesties can be reversed.

There used to be strong support for science and critical thinking and I think a lot of that can come back so long as we maintain a well educated populace and do not allow the country to be guided by superstition and narrow thinking.

I'm sure there's plenty more, but it's often hard to think of it.

I guess I like how there is variation in culture and climate. Each region seems to have its own cultural identity, of which the people of that region proudly display.

I love it for being my home and the many different kinds of climates and landscapes!

Plus I love how different people are depending on where they live.

The nature out here can be truly beautiful!

Although I must admit I love the area I live in I can see cows and horses on farms and some small forested areas around my neighborhood.

I wish I had cows living near me, but I live downtown. I love cows though.

I like the word "state" and its plural.

The geography, geology and native species.

Beautiful varied landscapes with many great people, plus I absolutely love old American cars; Jeeps, muscle cars and so on.

I like the fact that what happens in vegas... generally stays there.

I've never lived in the USA, but, as I was thinking of what I would find attractive about the country, the words of Dr. Lars Perner came to mind. Dr. Perner is an autistic man from Denmark who now lives in the USA. He said that life was easier for him in the USA because the expectation to conform was less than in Denmark. I like that.

Overall, I don't find the USA attractive and wouldn't want to come to live there. There are several reasons for that: the superpower arrogance; it's difficult to live in the USA without a car; it's difficult to be an atheist in the USA; as a worker you don't have much holidays. For California, the earthquakes would put me off coming to live there, too.
