My username came into being 13 years ago as my AOL screen name, and I've used it whenever possible since. It's a good name, I think; the way I judge it is "would I be embarrassed to put this on my resume as contact info?" The answer is no.

My avatar is what it is because I was born and raised a Georgia Tech fan. I am a junior at Tech now, in fact. I love it, I always have, and I always will.

My username is based on a political "plan", really just a play on words or a joke. I added my avatar because I looked at this thread and did not have one... and it is just a cool effect I came across.

Synecdoche means a part of a whole and is used as a figure of speech. It's a kind of metonymy. So, for example, I'll call flannel wearing hipsters "flannel" or ask if someone can lend a "hand" when cooking. I chose this since I figured synedoches are related to the way aspies perceive the world. Or at least, this is how I perceive the world sometimes. Plus, I watched the Kaufman film and found it to be a bore (but still brilliantly complex, I guess).

The avatar is Don Draper's silhouette from Mad Men. Favorite TV show right now.

My avatar was the only gif I had that got accepted when I signed up to WP. I think the avatar I originally wanted to use was of a cactus asking for a hug, but it got rejected. Although somewhat humorous, my current avatar does not define me, I plan to replace my current avatar with a pic of me on my motorcycle as soon as I get the opportunity.

My username is based on the main character of the short film "Me and the Big Guy". Watch it below. I think you'll enjoy.

I also was considering a username based around DZ-015, the officer number of the main character of one of my favorite movies, Brazil. I sometimes wish I had, since I'm a dreamer too.

My username is my first name and the main reason I joined this website. My avatar is a particular character from my favorite video game series. :)

My name comes from an imaginary friend I had as a child. John's Mc John.(no, it has nothing to do with SMC) There was a thread a while back linking to a page where you could create your own pony. So I did. And now, it's my avatar.

Back in 2005-2007, I was the caretaker of 4 birds, 2 budgerigars and 2 cockatiels. In America the colloquial term for a budgie is parakeet. The tiels are mild birds but the parakeets (or budgies if you're OCD) are aggressive bossy little critters. Often, when food dishes were getting low, the tiels would dig up the food and the parakeets would peck at the tiels once there was food to be more easily gotten. When I worked for Wal-Fart and McDonald's, I saw the same behavior as the parakeets had expressed within the management. I hated that. Hence, I am not, nor will be, a parakeet. (That is what my username is in reference to, how managers treat their employees, regardless of any pop psychobabble that I2 morons want to attach to it because they can't get their brains out of the gutter to think about anything beyond their own decaying bodies.)

As for my avatar, it is a character from one of my favorite movies - Event Horizon.

Jory is the name of a character in Philip K. Dick's novel Ubik, and my current avatar is the artwork from a Japanese edition of another of his novels, Now Wait for Last Year.

A play on my first name and the word "aneurysm"....which was the title of a Nirvana song I liked.

Avatar? My cartoon obsession of the moment...Regular Show. I am so fixated with this show, it's ridiculous.

This misdiagnosis caused me significant stress, which lessened upon finding out the truth about myself from my current and past long-term therapists - that I am an anxious and highly sensitive person but do not have an autism spectrum disorder.

My diagnoses - social anxiety disorder and obsessive-compulsive disorder.

I’m no longer involved with the ASD world.

I'm a tall drink of tea.

Also, I'm two oddly colored wolves forever circling myself.

...And, well, desu! I plan to change my avatar soon.

Krankes Hirn is german for ill brain. Before I knew about the existence of ASD I always labeled myself as a crazy person. That's also a bit of one of my favorite songs: Dich zu töten fiel mir schwer by Lacrimosa.

The avatar is a Boeing 787. I'm a big aviation fan and this airplane has caught my interest since the day I saw a video of its first test-flight.
