Trappistes Rochefort 8. Excellent Belgian Trappist beer with a good dose of personality.

Also like a draught beer mixed with Guiness (called a Black & Tan).

I dare any pommy to go into an Irish Pub and ask for a Black & Tan.

That is definitively in the "bad ideas" box...

The Black and Tans were a British Paramilitary group that was pitted against the IRA, weren't they? Didn't they use some pretty nasty tricks?

Too bad they don't sell Rochefort 10 at the liqour store here. One bar does sell Rochefort 10, so I've been able to taste that as well, and it is amazing. However, it's something like 9 euros a pint and I'm on a student budget, so I probably won't be drinking much of it any time soon...
