That's awesome.

This misdiagnosis caused me significant stress, which lessened upon finding out the truth about myself from my current and past long-term therapists - that I am an anxious and highly sensitive person but do not have an autism spectrum disorder.

My diagnoses - social anxiety disorder and obsessive-compulsive disorder.

I’m no longer involved with the ASD world.

I must confess I love to read about hauntings, spirits, ghosts, mythical creatures, urban myths, and legends.

Whenever I read about the first three I always get freaked out so I can't sleep and that causes a problem since I'm obsessed with dreams. I usually can't stop reading too...

I also really love "The Chipmunk Adventure" I remember renting it from a video store every time we went there and going home to watch it over and over again until I had to stop. Now I own it! I don't really think I have many really strange ones though.

I'm extremely obsessed with Columbine, as well. From 2006 to 2009, I was convinced that I was going to pull off a school shooting. I still think about it at least once a day with a lot of passion behind the thoughts.

I'm also very interested in mixed martial arts. I know everything about it. I'm sort of the answer man in my group of friends. They invite me to the parties we throw for the pay-per-views so I can sorta discuss the fights with them. I know every little jiu jitsu move and I can pretty much see it coming and predict it before the commentators can.

I'm obsessed with time. Almost to the point where I've tunneled into my future and communicate with it metaphysically through cognitive thoughts. For instance this message in itself is a time capsule from a different period in my life retrospectively.

I worship Mick Avory of The Kinks. Most fans worship the Davies brothers.

well i guess one of my interests (even today i spent some time in it) is world war two. ive been facinated by the weaponry, the history, the antiquated artifacts remaining today and also the officialness of the war. movies, games and books are all so very facinating...

below is a paper i wrote for history... dont automatically judge this. its just a guess. i dont know how some people will take to this. its just something that is supposed to make you think.

ive always been facinated at the time and how the nazis came to power. and how the allies stoped them from becoming a world empire. but ive actually noticed that a lot of peoples opinions have condemned a lot of germans. a lot of the germans probably were at least civilized. (of course not hitler or his close guys. they were just a bunch of n00bs). most people take the germans as brutes and haters of the jewish people. i personally think the average german during world war two was either blinded by propaganda posters and possibly just like normal people at heart or just didnt notice the hatered.. probably not even biggoted. a lot of them actually surrendered to the allies before even firing a shot. they disliked being put into their position. probably most of the people who were in the german army probably didnt choose to be in it. when their contries were annexed they kindof had no choice. most people in the world during that time were good people. i guess it takes a great level of understanding what could posibly be in someone elses thought proess and thinking outside the box, especially when their considered by a lot of people to be evil. im just hoping that people wont critisize me for this. (especially if you are an american during these times) there of course were always the bad germans. the ones who did the atrociities, murdered inocent people and did other horrable things- they were the ones who give them their association with evil

NOTE i am not a neo nazi or a pro nazi.
in fact im quite the opposite. :)

lol someones probably gonna flame my comment. its just an idea...

-----------
i guess another of my wierdest interests happens to be finding out little secrets and hidden or overlooked details in sertain stories, finding symbolism, or secret mesages in games or movies. concepts are very big to me.
idk if it counts.

hmm... hacking handheld devices like ipods and games to do what i want them to is another.

i also have a facination with wheels and textured objects succh as a hologram card or the treads on a toy car, or the bumps on the edge of a quarter.
i have plenty of others.

I have too many to mention, but I am obsessed with death and want to have a romantic suicide pact with my true love, whoever she is, in the future... that is, a few years after enjoying regular life with her, which also has its beauties. However, "death" is so much better and removes the limitations of this version of life. That is especially good when you, like me, are interested in gorey romance that isn't physically allowed in the present life. What a thought to be able to cut up your true love and slave to see her beautiful guts, and kiss them.... anyone agrees?

I recently nearly got obsessed with extension plugs (not sure of the correct name for them). A stand up comedian mentioned them and that was all it took for me to become very interested. I found myself looking for them at work trying to find a 5 plug socket! It was strange because I really didn't want this to become an obsession (there are plenty of other things to be interested in). Anyway, up until now I thought i'd got it out of my mind. Hmm perhaps not ... :?

One of mine is electrical, hydraulic and mechanical schematics. Another is the inner workings of a transit system - such as automatic train control systems, multiplexed electrical systems and powertrains on buses and fare collection systems - how can something mundane report back to a SQL database and be controlled by a computer?

Damn, that sounds exciting. I've never read the manifesto but I've recently put a lot of thought into "mapping" large written works.

Mine is too weird to be unusual. The most unusual special interest I once had was actually, well, would you believe tobacco, specifically cigarettes? I've never understood why people smoke, but for some reason others also found it attractive. I would read up on it a lot. Effects on your health, advertising, would you believe I even knew all the brands? I was about like eight when I had this interest. The oddest thing is I was never interested in smoking. Never for a minute. I've always disliked smoking.

As for an unusal special interest right now...hmm, I've already noticed cats aren't that unusualXDso my unusual special interest is collecting DS games.
