133.

Most of these are coworkers or people I used to go to school with but haven't seen in years.

I have 533 friends, but I only know like 20 in real life and only 3 of them are real friends.
The others I know from fb games or groups or other online communitys

*Deep breath*

I have 7 friends, four of which I would consider true friends, of whom one's my girlfriend, my brother and a guy whose podcast I listen to :D

I was on it a couple of years ago and was 'friends' with people I went to school and college with, but to be honest that just depressed me and seemed a bit morbid as I wasn't in 'proper' touch with any of them, so I adopted a slash and burn policy and only kept people I was still in touch with.

The main reason I have it is because a couple of years ago I moved up to Yorkshire.

I also have 3 other accounts for games, which are all friends with each other, but not me or anyone else. I'm going to stop right there before I completely melt my brain...

32

Half of them old friends or contacts from school or uni, most of the other half are contacts from Autscape or here or other connections made online. No family, because none of my family have FB, noone just because they sent me a "Friend Request", and only one person that I have never met in RL.

They are all to some extent and in some way or other very important/precious to me, ( if only because of one wonderful conversation, or moment of understanding, or memory of an event, etc ), but there are about a dozen who I check a lot more often and exchange messages with frequently.

There are three other people I treasure who aren't on FB so I have to phone/mail them separately, and two people that I loved and lost touch with years ago, ( rapid changes of address ), and wish I could find again ... I wish they'd get FB so that they'd all be in one place :lol like in "Henrietta's House" by Elizabeth Goudge! :)

FB enables me to keep in touch with people I've met and appreciated/"clicked with" without having to use email or phone. I love the visual aspect of it, photos, links, etc, the ease in sharing stuff, and how conversations develop with small groups of people in "Comments", the serendipity of it.

I have 116 now. Most of them are online friends, but that's cool with me!

Over 200, a mix of family, people I knew from high school and elementary school, people I've met online due to having similar interests and parents of my kid's friends that I've become friendly with. I did most of the requesting.

I've found making friends easier since my kids started school, I don't know why that is.

A few people rejected me by hitting the ignore button. One PMd me and said she "didn't remember me" even though we were together in elementary and high school. A few people defriended me, they didn't say why. That hurt. One was a guy I'd known for over 40 years.

76 I could easily thin out about 10 of those, I have several strangers that share my interest, some of my family, a few old childhood friends, several high school classmates, some newer people who are in my bike group, and people who liked the pictures I took of them at the cyclocross races. I have thinned down several times, getting rid of people I don't know well, or people who's politics I can't stand, although I will keep those if they are alright people.

18, and more than half of those are family members, and of the non-family members only one is actually a friend. I have gotten other friend requests but I ignore them.

I now have 100 but I don't talk to most of them very often if at all in real life and never on there. I don't add many but I don't want to appear rude or weird to an acquaintance who requests me.

I think I've got about 100 from my clubbing days but I haven't checked my account for about a year. I got completely obssessed with Facebook for the first year and then lost all interest in it.
