Driving was sometimes done for pure pleasure;

Do you remember when Donavon Baily won the gold medal for Canada in the 100 metre dash, during the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta?

That's what got me onto those carrot sandwiches. Donovan Bailey and Ray Davies were my role models. I wanted to be like them and look like them. My goal was to look small and athletic. I even lost weight, the December of 1996 out of all the months of the year.

I also remember a time when you would call someone on the phone and you never ever had to ask, "Where are you?"

Variety shows like Carol Bernette, The Smothers Brothers, Dean Martin, Jackie Gleason...... How Sweet it is.....Very Interesting

When Disney was known for making animated children's movies.
When the History Channel was actually about history, not Armageddon and conspiracy theories.
When gasoline was about a dollar a gallon.
When the majority of people would laugh at anyone who suggested the Mayan calendar was proof the world would end in 2012 (but only because everyone thought Y2K would be the end)
