Not at all. Making shopping lists is one of the smartest things I do. My lists are pretty random and I have can have all sorts of things like milk, butter, eggs, duct tape, purple paint, pink yarn, black socks, fishing weights.......Walmart here I come!

I couldn't possibly remember all this. My lists are made by adding things as I find I need them and when I'm ready to do my weekly shopping trip, it's ready to go. I don't normally sit down to make a list. Unless of course I'm in my truck with my granddaughter and we need to get some things before I take her home. She always says, where is your list? She knows I never go to the store without one. I keep paper and pencils in my glove box. She digs it out and she writes things down as we think of them. She's learning!

I have to write down everything I want to buy at such and such store. A new food item I hear about from someone else who has IC. If one grocery store doesn't have it, I try another one. I end up going to several stores sometimes. My grandmother writes down everything she has to buy. My parents write down everything they have to buy and at which store they can buy it at. We would completely forget what to buy if we didn't write anything down. Now a days they have this gadget where you talk into it and it records the things you need to buy. I think that's more confusing. I rather have it down on paper. But I see other shoppers with their shopping list on hand.

Do you write it all at once before you go to the store or something?
I don't feel dumb, because I have a list that I add to for like a week. Who can be expected to keep like 15 random items in their head for that long?

But even if I write it down right before I go I don't really feel stupid.
I even keep a list on my hand of stuff I'm supposed to do in the near future. I guess maybe it would be reasonable to feel stupid about that, but I don't. (Hey, if I achieve the stuff I plan to do, I am successful, no matter the means, right?)

No... but I feel dumb when I make a list, take it with me, and forget to look at it :?

It's quite embarrassing to empty your pockets when you get home from the store and go "Oh yeah I brought a list. Damn it I didn't get half of what's on it."
