I deactivated it today. It made me feel better.

I think facebook completely deletes your profile in 2 weeks after you deactivate it.

i have only been on fb since july of this year. i have high school classmates (who i was never close to) and old neighborhood friends who i havent seen in person in almost 5 years. and then i made the mistake to put coworkers on my list and i got tired of their BS so i deleted them first and then i deleted random people from my hometown who had added me first and i post every once in awhile and i get no response usually. but their self involved merry xmas look at my baby look at my present look at my pictures of the snow is dumb. i deactivated a few weeks ago for a few days but got back on and no one even noticed of course. and i think by this time next year unless things change 180 degrees, i will no longer be on fb. its stupid, its boring, its repetitive, so why the f**k would i continue doing it?

fb is just a hobby for friend collecting anyways.

Someone on another forum said that people use websites like facebook to brag about how great their life is when in reality their life is not what they make out to be.

I Hate People Who Post Ambiguous Status Updates as a Cry for Attention.
i just saw this page" on fb. and it just kinda pissed me off.

it goes on to say that This page is calling out all of the attention whores that love to post status updates or join groups/pages that either:

a) indirectly call attention to some flaw or problem that a user subtly references while obviously begging for sympathy/pity

b) use song lyrics to make some point that the user thinks is cleverly disguised within the verse of their favorite emo band

or

C) resort to actually straight up pity baiting. ex: "I'm so fat, my life is terrible, etc."

Status updates are there for you to share useful links, pictures, or information about what's going on in your life with your friends and family; NOT for you to whine about how that cute guy or hot girl is totally ignoring you, or how your boyfriend doesn't look at you the same way he used to, etc. Please grow the f**k up.

isnt this what facebook users do regardless of the content/context?
so why the hell would you b***h about something that you do yourself?
its no s**t sherlock statements like this that show how utterly insane, stupid, sad, and pathetic fb is and how we equally love, value, and worship our fb/digital/online lives.
but people will still say and believe that they dont do this and then in a few hours in their drunken stupor or when they are depressed will do the exact same f*****g thing and not think anything of it. and these are ADULTS who do this s**t. and i know the word adults is such a subjective, loosely based ideal of sorts and in how that adult ideal fits into the online world is unknown, debatable, stupid, and who the hell cares to figure it out anyway. as long as we have status updates to share and pictures to show drunk ass on new years , then everything is hunky dory. BUT. if we ever fall out of the lines of the normality in fb, then we get bitched at for it. here's an idea...shut the f**k up about the status updates of others and post the same stupid trivial BS that me, nor any one of your friends gives a f**k about. you do the exact same thing. so why dont YOU grow the f**k up?

none of this s**t "mattered" 10 plus years ago. it has value to us now because we love our corporate masters and we are used to being told what to do, what to believe, how to act, what to love, who to love, what to wear, what to listen to, who to listen to, etc. etc.

as a matter of fact, this post is an ambiguous message as a cry for attention. s**t. fml!

Facebook is also used to start up alternatives to Facebook like "Truebook.org" and "Diaspora*" and the people running Facebook don't like it

2012 might see a law that closes this site down and class the owner as an illegal racketeer. The guy makes more in a year then the US Mafia and people die and threaten others on his site. He's basically got an army doing nasty things!

truly f*****g evil s**t. not the first time, and wont be the last time s**t like that happens. and in fb land, people will look at this briefly and then go about their lives and post more stupid trivial s**t. you would think that with 1,000 plus friends the odds would be someone would have taken her seriously and sprung into action. and sure, its all speculation. just another reason to not have 1000 plus friends, and you only talk to a dozen of them or know a dozen of them. but to say that in fb is illegal and strange!

and okay, the saying goes, a few bad apples spoil a bunch, and perhaps they were drunk or high or masturbating to animal porn and didnt feel the need to help a fellow human being or more importantly their "friend". but again, its just speculation. thats all fb is. speculation.

As frank drebin gets told "there is nothing to see here, please keep moving".
