I'm very much into astrology and believe that majority of it seems pretty accurate and reflective of me/\ Although certain sites are more dead on ;) I'm an aquarius but my birthchart shows my moon in scorpio which plays a huge factor for me because I am really more a scorpio than an aquarius in most respects :)

welcome!

I'm a Taurus and according to a site i went to that describes a Taurus fits me to a T lol

Quote:
Taurus and Independence:
Taurus is not the one who ventures out into the unknown and leads the way, Taurus is the one that will follow the leader and strengthen and build upon the discovered, in other words they are the one that will "dot the I's and cross the T's". This perseverance is given to them by their stubborn streak. Taurus stubborn streak is what gives their independence. They like to do things their way. They are perfectly fine on being alone, this way things get done they way they want them to be done. Taurus is not a follower, but they are not the brave one either. Taurus is perfectly independent. With their perseverance, they get things done and can do quite well for themselves.

Quote:
Taurus Temperament:
Taurus are deeply sensitive, the slightest comment or negative remark will be taken personally and they can easily get offended or hurt. Their stubborn streak results in laziness. They can be very lazy when someone gives them orders or wants them to do something they do not want to do. They are not lazy when it comes to themselves,

Quote:
Taurus Deep Inside:
Taurus are not fond of change. In fact, is change is imminent, they get very nervous and worried. They do not like anything new because anything new is unknown and Taurus fears the unknown. Taurus needs order in their lives and when they do not have order, they get very anxious. Taurus will cut themselves off from the unfamiliar in order to avoid the feelings of insecurity that arise when new experiences and situations are present. Taurus do not express their feelings openly and their inner self is contained and secretive. Many people do not know how sensitive Taurus really is, they hide it well. As a result, they are often emotionally hurt when the wrong things are said, they take things too personally sometimes. Taurus avoids talking about their emotions and many people never really know how they feel.

errr.....so i'm a "super Aspie", too?

my cousin who has autism is a virgo!

ooo - and my half-sister who was diagnosed with aspergers has -
aquarius rising
aquarius sun
virgo moon

to my knowledge the aquarius is air, rational/logical.
our mother was taurus

my father had a libra sun, and i'm not sure about the others. but he was very aspergers like i guess - sensitive, irritable, isolated, good with mechanical things.

yeah - there is no way you can determine that based just on sun signs, it would have to be much deeper than that.

i suppose mine does not fit as well for aspergers.
libra rising
pisces sun
sagittarius moon

i guess it would matter to mention that i have alot of libra in my chart, so a distribution of mostly air, though those are smaller influences i guess. and, i have no earth signs whatsoever in my chart.

but, to boot for astrology, i have had a relationship in which the astrology was just eerie.

i know this isn't a scientific study or anything, but astrology has been interesting to me as well (i guess one of my "special interests" - how stupid that sounds). a while back i found an actual study someone did about astrological sun signs and rates of marriage and divorce! i can't find the link of the info online now, but this is a book of the person who did it:

Sachs, G. The Astrology File: scientific Proof of the Link Between Star Signs and Human Behavior. Orion Books Ltd., London, 1998.
apparently there is flaw in his reasoning though, idk.

here are some websites i have found, many with free natal charts.
http://www.chaosastrology.com/ - the woman takes a scientific view on it, with chaos theory, fractals, etc. very good articles.
www.cafeastrology.com
www.astrotheme.com
www.alabe.com (astrology software)

i am not an expert on astrology, and had rejected and quit thinking about it a couple months ago to see other things in life (science and rationality), because i know that some people don't believe in astrology at all. it can cloud your thinking - it affects your worldview, how you perceive everything (at least for me). i wanted to try to see "clearly", see truth, at least give other ways of viewing life a chance.

some famous people apparently have their charts done though, so there must be something to it? or they're mentally ill. or just entertainment, you can never know i guess. i don't know enough about astrology (or anything) to say whether i think it's real or truth or not.

yet, how can people say that astrology doesn't matter? that's like sensing half of what is out there. the universe is alive, nothing is separate from anything apparently. astrology, astronomy, whatever. there is the universe, there are planets, there is energy, it's not separate.

it is a framework to understand people, just like the jungian types or myers-briggs, and all of the other systems, etc.
and actually, not only to understand or describe people, but things going on anywhere - events, eras, etc.

there are many things that affect or describe or makeup how a person is. since i don't know which is true, i just think to use them all! there is "nature and nurture". genetics/biology, astrology, etc. i had seen it in a more holistic and deeper way before but can't describe it well at the moment. we have our bodies - genetics/biology, we have our "spirits" which could be astrology, we have our brains - there are the many things saying our brain is who we are, etc. i like to see the larger picture, just not doing so well at seeing it right now.

but i think to know everything that creates and affects how a person is, is like knowing the answers to life, the universe, and everything (i really don't know to understand hitchhikers guide to the galaxy btw). give me some answers and i'll believe you.

maybe you were born before the new moon which would make you not a true sign-in-type aquarius, but more like the previous sign. just a thought.

My family always paid more attention to the Chinese zodiac, so if you ask me my sign I'm likely to tell you I'm a Snake. In the Western zodiac, however, I am a Scorpio. I think Scorpios are considered more high-strung and emotional than I am, and both Scorpios and Snakes have a strong ambition that I lack. However, the description of the Earth Snake (my year) is pretty accurate:

Earth Snakes always seem to be calm and content. They’re friendly and approachable and believe that they’ll reap great rewards by working hard and relying on common sense.

People who are scorpios seem to be more unique than any other sign. And more unpredictable as well. Not sure what sign I might truly be but I know I'm tehcnically aquarius, but still most of my traits are scorpio traits and about 1/3 of them are aquarius I'd say. If I were the previous sign as the other poster said, what sign would that make me :)? Moon in scorpio is supposed to be why I am extremely emotional, idealistic, etc.

Apparently, the astrological ages move 'the other way'. We are moving into the age of Aquarius, it is now(?) the age of Pisces passing, and before that it was the age of Aries.

I was confused by this recently.

And apparently there can be no exactitude about the beginning of the Aquarian age. Or folks try, but there doesn't seem to be an agreed upon period. Some information here;

If you mean ascendant, that would be Taurus.

Astrology when seen from a mathematical perspective can be a valuable tool for helping analyze Neurodivergence, different types of Autism and Aspergers Syndrome.

I will explain about the Star Seed phenomena and Astrology.

The "Star Seed" Phenomena has been my pet research for many months. In my database, more than 90% of all people who subjectively feel they are Star Seeds or have a feeling of not belonging to Earth, they have mathematical aspects of important planets and Asteroids to the Galactic Center Point in 26 Sagittarius.

So many of these Star Seeds have some parallels to Neurodivergent Traits. I have a client who was diagnosed as a Schizophrenic and given 23 capsules of various medicines a day. It nearly killed her. She chose to stop them all, and we checked her chart where I found many Star Seed and Neurodivergence aspects together. The very awareness of this has transformed her life. Today she has mastered Reiki and will soon be a professional healer [ maybe she will heal her misguided shrinks someday who prescribed dozens of mind altering chemicals]

What if all Neurodivergents and Aspies are exhibiting extreme levels of Star Seed Traits?

This is an ongoing research. For now, the basics of astrology like the position of Neptune, Mercury, Sun and Moon will help in giving a starting point to the specific talents of Neurodivergent kids. As an astrologically enlightened reader has pointed out, there are text-book or cookie cutter aspects that show a person will be a Neurodivergent. However, the probability of Neurodivergence increases when there too many "Quincunx" aspects along with challenging aspects to Mercury and Moon, especially from Neptune. For instance, Pisces Moon people, their true calling is selfless service but they get used/abused and end up thinking they are abnormal from repression. When this ultra sensitive Pisces Moon is squred by Neptue, Saturn or Mercury, things get really difficult. Astrological awareness becomes a viable solution.

Knowing the exact position of Mercury can even help those in training of Autistic children to find and focus on the specific strengths of Autistic Children, the things that make them Savants.

Interested members who wish to discuss their Astrology Charts are most welcome to contact me. I have done over 500 readings of Star Seeds online for free, and I feel I have to now focus on Neurodivergents as well because I have a gut feeling that a vast majority of Neurodivergents are also Star Seeds.

Love this. :)

Back in the mid 1970's, my father, the very typical and practical Capricorn and also (unknown to any of us at the time) an Aspie, got sick and tired of hearing the women in his work place gossiping about their horoscopes and decided to study up on the topic so that he could explain to them why it was all a bunch of nonsense.

He did, in essence, disprove it when he discovered that all the signs were no longer where they were in the skies when Astrology was first created, but he also discovered that there was a surprising amount of accuracy when comparing peoples personalities to those dictated by their charts. He got to the stage where he could walk into a room, watch the people there and know what their sun/moon and ascendant were with surprising accuracy. By then it had become an obsession for him so I grew up it and am farely accurate, at least on the sun signs, myself.

For the record, I've yet to meet a Capricorn who doesn't show some Aspie traits, all the Virgos here do not surprise me as both are earth signs making them very stoic and practical.

I'm an Aries with Sagittarius moon and Leo ascendant. My Aspergers conflicts very badly with the personality I'm "supposed" to have making me very a-typical of my sign and leaving me with a very contradictory personality ;)

Just to contradict all that, I have no interest any anything "new agey" and usually don't mention my astrological upbringing except as an amusing anecdote about my crazy dad :)
