They have limits on people with ADHD, you can't hold many high-ranking positions.

No idea what the policy on Asperger's is.

I went to field training for the air force but didn't pass. I did some things well I thought but I didn't accept the system in a way, I kept fighting it the whole time. I'm glad I'm not in the AF now though.

the righties would insist that corporations and wallstreet ARE your country, and that one should fall on one's sword for them gladly and stupidly like a good wageslave. aspies need to stand up and say to them, "NO MORE!"

Many of my ancestors were in the army. I think that if I was NT, I'd join army too. But I am only uncoordinated Aspie, so I only watch war movies and dress in Rivet style :D

I'd secretly start killing "my own men" if I'd be in the military. War brings out the worst in people and my tolerance is "not high". Even if I'd be working for the UN, I'd find myself doing that.... even UN troops go to child prostitutes, and otherwise rape or "merely" trick people into sex - bad enough to "only" go to adult prostitutes. People generally, by far, are such scum, when it comes down to it....

My Aspie-ish grandfather served in the Army in WWI and my Aspie-ish dad was in the Marines during Korea. They both hated it. Marines recruiters contacted me about 4 or 5 times my last semester of high school because of my aptitude test scores. But I turned them down. Beside their very creepy persistence in trying to get me to sign up, I'm just not good with authority and bureaucracy.

My mom's dad was an engineer in the air-force & my my mom's brother was in the navy I think but he drowned before I was born. One of my cousins on my mom's side is married to a guy who used to be in the navy like 15 years ago. My dad's dad was in the army I think. One of my uncles on my mom's side(he married my mom's sister) tried to get in the military(either army or marines) but couldn't join because he has flat-feet. No one else in my family is in the military thou. A lot of my relatives tell me that if I did not have physical disabilities; I should join the military or I should try joining & file a disability discrimination suit when I get turned away to try & get in. Their rezones are that I've been unemployed for a few years, not sure what to do with my life, I'm very dependent, & I'm not good at making decision for myself. They say it will force me to grow up & give me direction because I can not be babied after my parents die. Even if my disabilities could get cured or I could get accepted with em; I would never be allowed in because of my psychological history; I had a breakdown 7 years ago, had bipolar symptoms, slashed myself, & spent 5 years on psych meds because of psychotic depression. I'm NOT interested in the military anyways. I'd rather join the terrorist than fight an unjust war based on fear to cover-up America's greedy quest for oil.
