Apart from the obvious (I deliberately didn't post this in adult discussion)

I just want people to suggest things you can do in a complete absence of light, as I am planning on spending more time in the dark.

Thanks everyone.

Smarty pants answer: experience the 'Ganzfeld effect'. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ganzfeld_effect

I understand you meditate Moog so presumably you're familiar with visual effects caused solely by your eyes and whatnot.

awww.. was suckered in.
seriously though, music. listening obviously but i'd suggest playing, if not adept with a tuned instrument then hand-drumming.. maybe sing too. enjoy the heightened sense of sound. :)
interested to see what other suggestions there are.

I've played with that actually! I don't think I did it right. I still have my red lightbulbs.

Good answer, I play my guitar and sing in the dark sometimes. I sang 'I want to be like you' from jungle book in the dark a few nights ago. I think my pitch is much more accurate without any visual noise putting me off.

That was interesting, thanks for sharing. Not sure what it's got to do with meditating, but interesting all the same.

In the dark, you can: Listen to music, watch movies, meditate, exercise.... Ummm. Develop photos?

ahh jungle book takes me back, *zones out in nostalgia* might have to watch that now..
i've had a few great experiences with music in darkness, never managed meditation but i imagine it's similar.. especially 'droning' music, like sitar-style.. ragas? if that makes sense. and/or drumming with a group. it sometimes felt kinda like being in space, except i could hear.. hmm that makes little sense. you know roughly what i mean though right? maybe like a mantra or something and without my eyes distracting me it was beautiful. i miss that drumming group :( anyways, hope you have fun in the dark Moog. ;)
i imagine a synth in the dark could be one hell of a 'trip' too..

Make a sandwich. Pretend you're blind. Contemplate the existence or significance of the lack of light around you.
