They talk a lot about "dream vacations", but not so much where people would NEVER go! I'm pretty open to going most places but there are a few places that don't interest me very much.

It may be for any reason, but please don't be racist when commenting on why you don't to go to whatever place you decide on.

I don't really want to go to New Orleans because it's mostly about partying, drinking, music and old history. It's not a place that really interests me. If someone offered me a ticket to New Orleans, I would most likely decline and say "find someone else to go with". If it were my parents, I would stay home, I don't really comfortable staying at home all alone for a long period of time so I'd most likely get a friend to stay with it. Or at least, for nights.

Also, if there is a place that you have been that you didn't like, you may post it.

I don't mind people who like or live in New Orleans, it's just not a place I would personally want to visit as it doesn't seem as I'd enjoy the touristy stuff.

Also, I wouldn't like to go to Chicago because apparently, a person I really like was hurt there.

What about you?

Any massive dessert around the world. I don't like the idea of going long periods of time without water.

I would actively avoid any country which institutionalizes discrimination and oppression of its LGBT citizens.

I have no interest in visiting the Great Plains region of the United States (which consists of the states of Oklahoma, Kansas, Nebraska, South Dakota, and North Dakota) because they just seem like such boring places to me.

You'd be talking much of the Caribbean, then. Including some British territories where it is legal to have sex (the UK forced them to modernise their laws) but there is still quite a uncaring and homophobic atmosphere.

Las Vegas, Nevada sounds like the ninth circle of Hell to me.

Lebanon. I lived there for around a decade. And I went there for a 2-month vacation just 2-3 years ago. It's boring as hell. Lack of 24 hours a day electricity and hot water. Slow Internet connection. Lack of technological entertainment.

Never going back there ever again. Unless I'm asked to dig up the treasure under the house. Now THAT would be fun.

there are so many places that i would not wish to go to that it boggles my mind.

i would not like to go to india because it looks like society is a rabble with people hanging on to the sides of overloaded trucks and people on the streets flailing their arms while arguing in a foreign language. also i do not think it would smell very nice.

i would not like to go to china because there are people everywhere in china. it is festooned with them.
the pollution is another major factor as to why i would avoid china. they are choking in smog and crushed into a frenzy of fevered activity that seems like the saga of the chinese lifestyle.

i would not like to go to south america because i fear i will be disemboweled by someone while there.
i have heard that the crime rate is outrageous in many south american countries. if they see a sparkle, then out comes the flick knife and they carve their way to acquiring it for themselves.

i would not like to go to america because i would probably be sent to prison for whatever inconsistency i exhibited as to their "formula for behavior". then i would probably spend the rest of my life in prison there because i would regularly get into trouble and receive accumulative months of further incarceration until i was too old to know what was going on. i suspect the U.S.A is not the ideal place to have O.D.D.

i would not like to go to england because there are too many old buildings there. also it would take me 20 hours to get there, and i am sure i would consider the price of the chore of the journey to be unpaid for by the rewards of any experience i may glean from the place when i get there.

there are parts of the world i would like to go to however (for a visit).

I wouldn't want to go near either of the poles. I don't like cold. I have seen pictures of ice hotels in Sweden, Norway, Iceland, Greenland. Fur pelts are laid down on ice beds. People are shown in parkas sitting in ice chairs at an ice bar. It all looks awful. An ice hotel or polar outpost would be better than jail or a refugee camp, but only because nobody would be beating on me. Otherwise, awful.

I think there are quite a lot of places where I wouldn't mind going for an hour or so, just to see what it was like, but I would never actually plan a trip there.

Thailand - Seems like a hot, sweaty, touristy, drug festooned hellhole.

Most of Australia - Also seems hot, dusty, sweaty. Too many new buildings. Sharks, jellyfish, poisonous spiders, snakes.

China - Has just never appealed to me. I would tower over all Chinese people, and feel like a clumsy oaf. Plus they eat dogs and cats, which would upset me too much.

Korea - see above.

Ukraine, Russia, Georgia, Siberia etc - These places may just have an image problem. But whenever they are on tv, there seems to be lots of very depressed, grey looking people wearing lots of clothes and milling around.

Yemen, Iraq, Afghanistan. - Although these places have very interesting histories, and I'd actually like to sit down and have a cup of tea with most of the women who live there, I imagine I'd be kidnapped quite quickly, and have an instant nervous breakdown. I'd be too much of a pain in the neck to keep around, and they'd shoot me just to shut me up.

Most of Africa. Again, probably has an image problem. But the amount of stories I hear about tourists being raped, and locals being raped and macheteed, is enough to put me off. I have been to Egypt, and it was ok, but not great. I'd love to go to Madagascar though.

Saudi Arabia - I would be arrested. Because I would be so p#ssed off with the laws dictating women's behaviour, that I would instantly break a gazillion laws.

Colombia - drugs, being kidnapped, etc.

Argentina - unless I could effectively disguise that I am British. They don't seem to like us too much. Patagonia would be interesting tho.

Haiti.

I'd like to go to most of North America. But not Miami, as it seems a tad dangerous for tourists.

Anywhere that practices voodoo or similar. I have a paranoid fear of being buried alive.

But this is all hypothetical anyway. I haven't left Suffolk in three years.

USA, everything I've ever heard about it implies large swathes of the country are full of the white Taliban. I'd also be afraid that they might hear my country exists, for fear of invasion :P
