A'lite a'lite! Calm down, calm down!

In all serious, I don't have any problems with Liverpool, has it's negative spots like everywhere. I went to boarding school there, know the place better than Manchester. Like it more than Manchester in fact. Have nothing but bad experiences behind me here.

Scousers aren't generally liked up here.

I used to dislike Scousers.

Then I thought about all the people I knew that were Scousers.

Then I came to the conclusion that there are good and bad.

I have lived in liverpool for 31 years. I hate the majority of people here. Over bearing & highly uncouth. Their pseudo-pride is the worst though. Visiting Manchester is like going on holiday!.

If you dislike the city then why don't you do yourself a favour & move out of it then. Live in Manchester then if you like that much.

Alright mate, no ones accusing you of anything here. Take a walk through Skelm and then decide for yourself if it's "All just the media". No need to be aggressive about this, you insulted Manchester first.

I don't dislike the city, It's the people I dislike. I have faith that with more outside money funded & non regional employees into the city, the people will be dispersed to the outer areas like kikby & bootle for the poundlands & bargin boozers. Liverpool has a future, the people don't.

The last time I was in Manchester four years ago I was verbal abused twice & to cap things off I read the Manchester Evening News on the train home only to read an article slagging off an area of Liverpool I live close to.

A fact that you have forgotten is that the people are a part of the city. mmm the city has a future & the people (a part of the city) dones not. So dones the city have part of a future or no future at all?

I have been attacked, abused, and stabbed in liverpool because my accent isn't coarse enough and I come from the 'posh' area, as they like to say. (wollyback mean anything to you?)

Yes I do know what wollyback means. I been attacked & abused in my own neighbourhood my area has gone down hill, I used to like a ruff area & have a posh accent cos of speech therapy. I need to move out of neighbourhood thanks to harassment I had for the three years as low lifes have being going around the neighbourhood spreading lies about me.

I'm sorry you are having to put up with that. I totally sympathize with you because my friends and I have had similar experiences. One of my old friends had to move to seaforth at 17 years old because his parents are Jehovah witness, and didn't approve of his lifestyle. His neighbours bullied him to grow cannabis in his room for them (he got nothing for it) and he was constantly victimized by them with violence. It lead to him being sectioned with schizophrenia, and now he is a shell of his former self who eats his own faeces.

I never really saw much of the really harsh side of liverpool. Lived in Ormskirk for 5 days a week for 2 years.
