makes everything better to do.
It helps me focus and it doesn't get me jittery. Makes me better at everything and I get more creative.

Go Tea.

I probably have ADD from the likes of it though.

I love tea. It keeps me alert for hours without the nervousness. I can keep going for hours after having a cup of tea. :)

I also enjoy drinking tea. Plus, it goes well with most types of food. :-) Coffee makes me too high-strung, & I don't like the taste anyway.

Mmmm, tea....

Currently in a white tea phase. Lighter than green tea, easy to drink, no caffeine or lactose hangovers.

Tea is an event, a gesture and a milestone for the day. Coffee on the other hand, is a drink. I like earl grey tho, even Artemis Fowl likes it

Yeah? Tea has always been just a drink here.

Hes not exagerrating, it really is a big deal in england. From building sites to aristos parlour, almost like a ritual. theres even an expression 'tea and sympathy' if someone has bad news you put the kettle on - everything will seem better.

I expect its similar in the eastern countries where its from, probably it doesnt have the same status in the new world because a combination of people favouring the coffee rush so it never caught on enough to become ritualised. maybe also they didnt want to adopt 'british' affectations after their hard won independance.

Gunpowder green tea - hot all winter, iced all summer, straight up.

Also fond of sencha and oolong - oolong makes an excellent sweet tea if you like such a thing.

I like tea. I agree that it seems to constitute a bit more than a simple drink, even though I'm not British. I enjoy a strong black tea with a bit of sugar and milk.

I also really like Yerba Mate, which is basically the South American version of tea. Best sweetened with honey and is great hot or cold. However, Yerba Mate is not in genus Camellia, like proper tea. It's actually a species of Holly:

Ilex paraguariensis

Every morning, after taking my daughter to school, I make myself a cup of tea and read a few posts on WP. I have another after lunch and a third one after dinner. My limit is 6pm, otherwise I'll be awake all night. It's fennel tea after that.

Tea is more like a ritual than a drink.
