I was always more into natural history than hard sciences.

Anyway. Sorry for derailing the thread.

This may seem odd, but I idolize Nikola Tesla.(Who would have been 155 yesterday, incidentally) I want to be just like him.(Except of course for the whole "dying penniless" thing.) He invented the modern AC motor, radio, and my favorite, the automotive speedometer. As a small bonus, he was almost certainly an Aspie.

I don't idolize him, but I certainly respect (and maybe even envy, just a little) Klayton, from the band Celldweller, for his creativity and sheer musical talent, not to mention his patience and diligence when it comes to composing and producing some truly fantastic music.

Billy Idol, his amazing sneer, if only I could sneer like that, I would get all the girls

While his sneer is certainly unparalleled, the fellow is actually quite short.

I was at an Untouchables concert in Hollywood back in the 80's when I saw someone whom I supposed (somewhat absurdly) wanted to look like Billy Idol despite their short stature.

I found out later that the "Billy Idol wannabee" was actually Billy Idol...

I don't idolize ANYONE (aside from Jesus Christ, because he is my example, and will always be perfect).

I don't respectfully want to copy very many, aside from:
My grandparents...because they have good attitudes about life, and many good attributes
My brother....because he is funny and smart in many aspects of life, and a good sibling

The iCarly star Miranda Cosgrove. I think she's an extremely talented actress, a good singer, very mature & responsible & the best role-model out there as for as idols go
