Certainly the latter manliness gets me better service at a restaurant...

I woud think that's not manliness but gentlemanliness. I strongly approve, though some would say it was girlie, and that you should be punching and yobbing your way through life like Bill Sykes.

So, what do you other guys do to feel manly? How do you handle your masculinity, etc?

I don't really get it. Why would I have a need of "handling" my masculinity? Does it have a tendency to get out of control or something?
If I have to do something special to feel manly, doesn't that imply that I wouldn't normally feel manly? And do I have to restrain myself to gender stereotypes?

Having a need to act "macho" are not a mark of men, but boys.

The idea of doing things to feel manly is foreign to me. I don't really identify strongly with my gender, nor do I identify with the other. I'd have to agree with ToughDiamond and fall back on my Y chromosome to "prove" my manliness.

I can out-push-up almost anyone besides maybe bodybuilders and hardcore military types. I am also fascinated with numbers, which tends to be seen as a male activity. Does that count? :)

Why do women have a forum in which they can bash men and we have only one thread? :)

I work out, work on my own cars and remember that being truly cool means not caring too much about being cool.

I am in the Army. I get tattoos. I smoke cigars, cigarettes, and use pretty much every other form of tobacco. I like to shoot weapons like the Stag Arms Model 8, the M4A1, and the like. I scratch myself, sniff, spit, expel gasses at random, and enjoy tinkering with my vehicle. I also enjoy watching almost any manner of sports, but I am not really a manly guy. I am also a musician of sorts, and sadly, a bit of a momma's boy.

Can I join the man topic? I don't really consider myself female, and I prefer being the target of male stereotypes much more than being the target of female stereotypes. I have no sense of belonging with women, but I feel comradery with men.
Also, I wish I could pee standing up AND aim at the same time, my self esteem is tied up in whether or not my body hair is longer than that of other people, and I love shooting, masturbating, and looking at pretty ladies!

...That sounds bad. I shoot targets, not the pretty ladies.

I drive (occasionally) high performance cars for a living. I had to sign confidentiality agreements to get the job, so I can't say which specifically, but one of my favorites that I spent a lot of time in had in excess of 550 horsepower.

I do get a positive kick out of doing 'manly' things. I don't own any dirtbikes, sportbikes, or ATV's unfortunately, only have four sets of wheels and they're tied together by a Chrysler coupe frame. OTOH though I do have a fun little semi-automatic MP5 replica, almost want to get a 9mm handgun because its kinda boring me, and of course I have a class of blended Kali, fighting application Wing Chun, and more general Kuntao - which we're learning how to fillet each other with aluminum practice knives along with all kinds of limb and joint destruction.

I live with two male roommates who look much more masculine than I do, have lots more sex experience than I do, and constantly joke about how delicate I am sometimes. However, when it comes to doing the simplest house repairs, I'm the only one who knows how to tie a knot inside the toilet tank so it won't leak again; I'm the only one who knows where the water pipe valve that feeds the whole house is located, so I'm the only one who can close and open it when need be; I'm the only one who built his own desk, swivel chair and dinnertable; and I'm the only one who always remembers when and where to pay the bills.
