That's one of the major reasons that I'm not looking forward to the new year, with the same intensity that I did the past two years.

Happy New Year to all of you!
I am now in 2012 for 1.55h. There was a lot of fireworks in my street and my cats got really scared. They assembled all under my bed looking for shelter. But I stayed with them and now they are fine again.
I wish for 2012 that human beings stop feeling surperiour to other beings. I don't understand that concept of feeling superiour. It is not necessary. Humans don't have the right to "conquer" and pollute the whole planet and eradicate other forms of life, just because they are different.
It is never good to be judgemental in terms of "superior" to what is not exactly the way you are.. Why should "different" be any less than the "standard"?
Difference is so beautiful! I just have to look at my cats - they are so beautiful and honest the way they are.
Thank you all for sharing your experiences in 2011, what made me learn a lot.

I wish all of you a Happy New Year and I look forward to next Christmas and New Years Eve, because the world isn't going to end in the December of 2012! :D

I don't believe the Mayan prophecy but for some reason I am still very anxious and paranoid about the end of the year.
The Mayans never actually said there would be an Apocalypse of the 21st. The thing that concerns me is that the calender was based on the lunar and solar cycles and the mayans were brilliant astronomers. Scientist say that they think the sun has completed about half of it's lifespan.

Something horrific will probably happen on dec 21st. The world wont end but people who think that the world will end will destroy civilization in some way.
A world war, horrible riots,I hope the goverment will collapse.

I wish you all a great 2012! It may be our last year.

i am suffused with feelings of dread, for the new year promises to be at least as bad as the old one. all these blithe pretty people yelling "HAPPY NEW YEAR" seem to be totally unaware that they are just jumping willy-nilly out of the frying pan and into the fire.
