Nope! it is absolutely free!! !! ! the only requirement is that you are a geek, nerd, or both.

To list my responses to that list:

1. I can, but I've been cutting down for health reasons.

2. Certain anime and Manga. I like Evangelion (manga and anime), Dragonball, Z and GT (manga and anime), Oh My Goddess (manga), Gunsmith Cats (manga), Ghost in the Shell (manga and anime).

3. I used to love Asterix and Tintin books, and now finding I'm enjoying Alan Moore's League of Extraordinary Gentlemen and V for Vendetta.

4. Not really, though I read parts of textbooks for pleasure, if they interest me.

5. I don't enjoy math, thinking it (for me) as mental masochism.

6. I have a really encyclopedic knowledge of Doctor Who, but have lesser (but still fairly encyclopedic) knowledges of Blackadder, Monty Python's Flying Circus, Red Dwarf, Black Books, The League of Gentlemen, The Young Ones and Bottom, although I also have encylcopedic knowledges about various favourite video games, novels, and some forensic science case studies.

7. So-so. I know a few concepts from various sci-fi and fantasy things, but tend to really specialise.

8. Never have actually attended a single convention. The only reason I'd want to would be to meet stars, but the conventions almost never come to Brisbane, and that's as far as I will travel, really.

9. Depends on your definition. Not much of a social life, certainly. Personally, I spend much of the time outside my pleasures either trying to learn, or contemplate the world. I would love a relationship with a woman with similar interests, but I am able to with with myself, and by myself....

10. Hell no! Cannot think more than one move ahead, I am purely reactionary with chess. I do not have the strategic mindset required. I know how to play, but it's playing even moderately well.

11. Have only played Warcraft III. Never played an MMORPG, and will be afraid of getting too hooked. Besides, I don't think my computer is up for it. However, I know enough of the concepts and terms to talk with any players.

12. To a degree, yes, but I will spend more time with a book if a computer wasn't available.

13. Not really.

About 5 - 10% of those suggestions fit me.

Played chess - even through the post - for over twenty years. Reacll well each of the two games i won. got over it.
