I stopped eating meat when I was 3, at that time I realised that meat = animals and animals are my friends. I was not able to eat my friends. Now I'm vegan, because one day I realised that i can't use my friends as slaves and let them suffer because of me. It happened suddenly, before I have never thought about veganism and one day I got this mind and stopped eating all animal products.
Not sure which one i should answer, I'm not vegetarian anymore, but there is no button vegan. .. .

Yes I am a vegetarian since july 2010. I just love animals and I can't eat them anymore. And I don't really feel hungry about animal meat, because we have these days many vegetarian meat substitute and they are delicious. :P
I don't regret it to be a vegetarian and I'm happy about it. :)

I have been vegetarian since I was 10 years old- not for any particular reason, I just one day decided that I wasn't going to eat meat any more.

I'm the way nature made me, and I don't feel guilty about it. I'm an omnivore predator, just like my hominid ancestors have been for the last two million years. Although I don't go hunting myself and instead pick up carrion in stores, so I'm actually more of a scavenger :) I love eating juicy body parts and gnawing on crispy corpses.

im vegan for 11 years or so and im perfectly healthy. i think everyone should decide that for themselves, but "being used to meat" or "needing it" are excuses, not actual reasons.

I'm not, but I want to become vegan :D

Although, I asked someone and they told me to stay away from aquariums and zoos? Noooo! One of my favorite places is the aquarium, because it's so relaxing............

Uh...that's kinda the idea of veganism...opposition to animal commodification.

I've been a vegetarian since i was 16, and vegan for long period aswell. I've always been a picky eater and mostly ate the side-dish when i was served meat as a kid, so for me the vegetarian diet fit much better. Me and my BF went vegetarian together as soon as we started making food for ourselves.

You know, the only time I've "spotted" another woman and thought they might be Aspie was at a plant-based eating potluck I went to once.
She got seated at my table, and all the while all these flags kept going up for me about her. :)

I've been vegetarian all my life. that's how I was raised and it works for me.

Although it is just habit for me I understand that for people who grew up with meat there is the danger of malnutrition, due to lack of variety. I highly recommend checking out the Green Door- a great restaurant in Ottawa that has an astounding variety of local/ seasonal/ delicious vegetarian food. yum!

I went vegetarian when I was about five years old, and have not eaten any meat or fish in almost fifteen years.
