I don't have a lot of shoes. Comfort and practicality are the most important things to me. I have 2 pairs of the same shoe in different colours (Skechers Sport) because they are just the most comfortable thing I've ever worn and I wear these nearly all the time. I also have one pair of high heels (for very occasional use), 2 pairs of boots, 3 pairs of Mary Janes, cross-trainers for Zumba, snow shoes and wellies.

I buy multiple pair of the same kind and style of shoe in different colors so when they stop making them I will have extras.

Yeah, me too. I'm a woman with size 10 1/2 (and abnormally wide) feet. Men's shoes work pretty well, but it's almost impossible to find cute girly shoes that fit and are comfortable enough to walk in.

I'm one giant contradiction in this area. I love shoes and own far too many (most heels... ) but always seem to pick one pair of boots or comfy shoes to wear 99.9% of the time. I generally wear them until they start falling apart on me, then I get a new pair of boots/comfy shoes and don't always throw out the old pair.
