They build nests in both the trees and in the ground.Yellowjackets are no slouch either though because they have a wider range.but thank goodness we dont have Japanese killer Hornets here one sting your dead!! 8O Just maybe 100 would kill that entire colony of yellow jackets!!

Ive actually dealt with a nest bigger than the one pictured. It was in a barn in Georgia. There was an older Triumph that I wanted and it was part of the deal to remove the yellow jackets. Shopvac with extension pipes worked ok but had to empty it a couple time and they are sill alive in there and in the hoses.

I'd love to find a nest like that. Nothing like suiting up and emptying shells from a Remington 870 on it. Yellow jack stings don't hurt all that bad. Now these wasps, OTOH...

That stinger hurts like a mofo.

Why do people be hatin' on bees and wasps so much? These dudes worked so hard to create that amazing nest, and you want to hack it down and kill the workers? :(

For me its not bees they only attack in defense, I wish I could say the same for wasp and hornets.

I'm allergic to bee / wasp / hornet stings... so I'm outta there before anyone tries to mess with them! :!:

I do appreciate honey and like to eat it with yogurt. Also I have heard that bees are decreasing in numbers and they pollinate our food supply so I really do not mind bees (as long as they are not right outside my front door in a bee hive).

I love Bees its the wasps and hornets I do not like bees are usually docile even bumble bees "which i think are cute" but wasps and hornets are more agressive and some will sting and bite without being provoked!! Those bald faced hornets are horrible they will stay aggressive for hours!! in this vid they were total aggro for 3 hours! At least with yellowjackets they will calm down after about 20 or so minutes hehe.

I've heard of people wearing beards of bees, and Quagmire did a Jackass stunt called "Bee Bush" on Family Guy, but this takes the cake!

what about this one? 8O Oh yeah these guys are pretty nasty too but not as agressive as the yellowjackets and bald faced hornets unless you disturb their nest, however their stings are more painful than the other 2.
