I wouldn't say I hate summer but I'm not a huge fan. It gets too light too early/dark too late which brings on my insomnia. Also people strip off and prance round the office in flip-flops, and lets face it, most people look better fully dressed.

I prefer autumn and generally the darker half of the year.

It's a love/hate relationship.

I like the summer in that I can just laze around and stay up late. But the temperatures where I live tend to border on " Too hot to even lie down". And the lack of air con. in my house makes it a lot worse.

Bright sunlight + extreme heat = migraines.

OTOH, winter is like hell for me because I have seasonal affective disorder and cold causes a lot of pain due to autoimmune diseases.

I'd choose summer over winter but spring/autumn are my favorites.

Edit: spelling

Hate summer with a passion! The summers here in Texas are much too hot and much too humid. I grew up in this kind of weather. You'd think I'd be used to it by now. Why I never moved to a cooler climate I'll never know. My theory is that if you get caught in inclement weather, you can always build a fire to keep warm. You can't build an air conditioner.

HATE HATE HATEHATEHATEHATE IT!! !! !! !
Are my feelings quite clear?
To me, the summer heat just feels so dirty! I swear I can feel the humidity and smog squirming around my flesh like an evil alien. Ugh...
I love the winter and the cold. I adore both. Also, I hate the sun; I do whatever I can to avoid it. And storms.... oh give me a good thunderstorm and I'm estatic. It makes my heart, my entire body, pound. It makes me feel a alive.

Hmm summer, let me see. Screaming kids out all day, hot uncomfortable weather, increased number of bugs, and difficult sleeps. Roll on the winter!

I don't like summer any more. I can't take the heat any more and the air conditioning doesn't work as good in my new bigger apartment even though we got a second one.

I don't leave the house much and unlike my old place where I froze every winter the heat works good here so I am looking forward to winter for the first time ever. It's quieter in winter too because all the windows are shut and the storm windows are down and people are inside more and the snow helps muffle sound.

I HATE it here. It's very hot & even more humid, My eyes are more sensitive to bright sunlight than most, & things growing can cause problems for my sinuses.

I hate it, I like every other season but summer. The best part about summer was being able to go to the lake, but no one has taken me there in years, so summer has no redemption. I really hate heat (unless I'm cold) and it seems that a lot of people are out and about in the summer.

I must be the only one here who loves summer. The smells of delicious bbqs floating in the air, the freshly chopped grass smells, going swimming, getting more exercise, camping, and other vacations. Something about bright sunny days are always uplifing for me. I find it harder to be in a bad mood when it's so bright and sunny outside. Yeah, sometimes the heat is a bit much, and I feel I have to baby my computer a little bit with extra fans blowing on it, but I'd rather be too hot than freezing during a dark and depressing winter.

The things I dislike about it would be the mosquitoes and the hordes of kids being out of school.

Oh Summer ... from Hell's heart I stab at thee!! !

I FREAKING HATE SUMMER!!

Spring and fall are best. Winter is somewhat more tolerable than summer, despite its inconveniences it is at least clean. A good cold winter can be quite fun in these parts, fully geared up you can feel a bit like a lunar explorer in some alien environment. Milder winters are actually worse - nothing worse than wet when it's cold.

But summer's inescapable. Nothing you wear can help that much with the heat, and while you can escape the heat itself with air conditioning when indoors, outdoors you are totally exposed to the heat, the filth, the germs, the insects, and all the awful noise. Summer smells so much worse than winter too. And the days are long, which means fewer hours of quiet at night.

By comparison, winter is quiet - sound is dampened, there are fewer people about. Also the night is extended and night, too, brings quiet.

The night is pleasant. I do most of my sleeping during the day during the summer, so I'm not so affected by the heat.
