Not voting because there is no "Both" option.

Don't care what anyone says - there is nothing as magical as coming home after work and being greeted by an excited puppy who adores you*.

* Minus today - he rolled in fox $%!£ and stinks despite four baths**

** All other days, there's nothing more amazing.

I half agree mljt, but there is one thing that is more magical and that would have to be coming home after work and being greeted by my cat. ^-^

No begging for food, or wanting to be let out, just, "Hello there, pet me" and I happily oblige. :D

I like cats, because they don't make loud sudden noises, and are just peaceful and easy.

Cats don't have the excitement a dog does though. My puppy literally squeals with excitement and hugs like a person when I get home (arms around my neck, face pressed into mine) Nothing beats it!

I don't know, dogs react that way all the time, it loses meaning. Whether you leave it for ten minutes or an hour, it's going to get excited when you come back. Where as if I am gone for say eight hrs and get home my cat is like where were you?! And rubs itself on my legs, and purrs. That's love, man :P

Cats, definitely. I hope I'll have a cat of my own one day, but this seems too complicated at the moment. I like lizards, turtles and gekkos, too, but I'm scared of most dogs and seldom meet a dog I like.

I like both dogs and cats, despite having grown up only around dogs.

I prefer dogs because they're more predictable & loyal. I don't understand cats; they act like they want to be petted & seem to like it for a couple pets & then claws are swiped at me

I'm more of a cat person. I tolerate dogs... mostly...

Cats cats cats cats ten thousand times cats! :cat: I'm definately a cat person

On the other hand, as for them I despise them with every fiber of my being! I can't even stand to see (much less type) the word! (which made responding to this thread though for me.) I always get really uncomfortable when I see people using one of them as their avatar. My hatred stems primarily from the noises that they make. I CAN'T STAND THEM!! ! It fills me with either a deep depression or a terrible, violent anger whenever I hear it, and the only thing that snaps me out of it is hearing my precious Kitty meow. :cat:

So in short, I need cats. They are the only thing that keeps me from snapping and going on a rampage.
