Blogging (in my private blog-only accessible to my friends on google+ -I have 0 friends on google+ - I was planning to make it public but I lost my nerve - I wrote really personal stuff in it)

I have too many obessions- it's almost 5 in the morning and I'm still awake.

peak oil, the collapse of civilisation as we know it, how to avoid being a casualty and possibly even profiting from the collpase. Otherwise I am obsessed by a study of my obsessions.

Battle themed soundtracks :) But then again i always have a musical obsession.

My best friend. NHL 13 demo/early release of the game. Mark Hoppus still. Playing RD in hockey now and the number 25 lol

I've had the same obsession since my first days of 1994.

Centerpin fishing reels go figure.

My three major obsessions are still the same (Tim Burton movies, My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, Adventure Time)

But that's not what I came to post about.

I came to post about my two latest obsessions: bats (the animals, not what baseball players use) and Romani people.

My curiosity about Romani people was piqued by Johnny Depp's roles as Roux in Chocolat and Cesar in The Man Who Cried (the former of which helped to give me in interest in Romani-style music as well). It probably helps that there are several shows about Romani people currently on TV. Furthermore, my mom has always said that she associates the song "Gypsy" by Fleetwood Mac with me. So, there are a lot of factors that play into my curiosity about that culture.

Less easy to explain is my sudden interest in bats. I was browsing Netflix and saw that they had a cartoon about bats on there, and for some reason that made me want to research them and draw pictures of them. I think I was already predisposed to liking bats because of my fondness for vampires. (not the Twilight kind - my enjoyment of vampires started with the two anime Hellsing and Trinity Blood when I was a teenager, and now extends to the characters of Barnabas Collins from Dark Shadows (2012) and Marceline from Adventure Time).

I'm currently obsessed with Southend United Football Club

Mine is basically about the future or computers. For history I like Chinese history.

Currently, it's debunking claims that are not based on science.

Creating LED Kinks avatars.

Vampire Masquerade, also (but not as much as before) Robinson Crusoe, the Kingdom of Heaven movie and the people and time presented in it.

Comparing prices for silver-filled chain.

Halo action figures, I heard there is going to be a Halo 4 Cortana figure with articulation, can't wait!

Fanfiction, though I hardly get anything done.

I can't believe it's Oct. 13th, I should work faster.
