Internet IQ tests have inflated scores and i still got lower.. It's not looking good.

Never did SAT.

I got a 139 on that test.

I did two tests a while back. On one I got 90, on the other 120, if I remember correctly...

I did the test in your link and got 132. In a different online test that I took some months ago, inspired by an IQ-related thread here on WP, I scored 137. And a few years ago, I had 142 in yet another online test. Apparently I'm getting dumber too :)

Yes. Of course it is. If you have an issue with it, you're free to ignore it.

Personally, despite known biases and limitations of the tests, I found my IQ test results quite helpful in understanding a lot of how my brain works and my Asperger's, and why I need as much intellectual stimulation as I do and why I am more at ease in the company of other people with higher IQs. It's neurology, not snobbery. I know people who are defensive about IQ tests want it all to not matter, and maybe it doesn't for them. But it does to me. If you don't want to talk about it, don't.

Anyhow:

IQ--the last time I took a properly administered IQ test: 154, IIRC. In the mid 150's. High enough to tell Mensa to shove it. Highest score: verbal; lowest: math. Don't ask me which one it was--I can never keep the different tests straight. it's the one where 154 puts you in the top 1.5%. which ever one that is.

SAT--f**k if I can remember. It was disproportionately low to my IQ, because I had gotten no sleep the night before and the crowded, windowless testing room where we administrated the test made me freak out. They seated us in alphabetical order, so I ended up surrounded by big, football players who were joking that they just needed to get a 720 to get a scholarship. That's what I remember from that day. So I am going claim that I was adversely distracted by fluorescent lighting, intrusion into my personal space and imbecility.

I think the best thing I gained from my IQ tests was acknowledgment of my intelligence that I wasn't getting from anywhere else. My school work was not challenging for me, but my teachers barely noticed. They just thought I was lazy or uncooperative. Many times if an assignment bored me enough, I wouldn't see any point in me doing it, so I wouldn't do it at all, and my grades suffered. I put most of my mental energies into learning things outside of school--literature, writing, music, art. history, psychology--which of course I never got credit for. So the first time I took an IQ test, around age 14, I was surprised at my score. No one in my life ever acted like I had any intellectual talents. Then I discovered I did. It was a good thing.

I can relate.

I take online ones where I score more than 100. One of the professional ones I got 80 on (Horrible at math) and another I got over 90.

I never took an IQ test so I don't know my IQ. I'm from Louisiana which has ACT instead of SAT & I don't remember my exact score but I know my ACT score was in the upper teens like maybe 19. I'm dyslexic & get details confused/mixed up & I suck with learning anything practical

I score high on online tests (highest I remember is 126+) but as everyone knows people can simply guess on those. Just like I did. Professional IQ tests however shows my true IQ which is exceedingly low. On one I scored close to mentally challenged at 78 (actual mental challenged people score below 70). The highest true score I tested at is 85.

IQ tests in general aren't an amazing indicator of true intellectual talent. I'm quite fond of IQ tests, and various other intelligence tests in general, they provide a good brain workout ;)

I haven't got around to do an Official Mensa IQ test as of yet, but I've done various IQ tests online. I'd predict I'm between 130 to 150, yet I'm a school drop out; had an abysmal time at military schools. Dropped out of mainstream school at the age of 14 with a drug addiction, wasn't until 17 I officially got my brain back after kicking the drug induced life I was leading.

Then due to a breakdown, I still haven't completely recovered as of today. I'll say this though 'intelligence is a curse', doesn't get me any popularity votes at all! I'm obsessed with absorbing any information I can get, and I'm usually told by others my topics are to difficult to discuss, leaving me having to dumb everything down which I find hard to commit to.

I'll leave you with one of all time favourite Quotes 'Only he that attempts the absurd, achieves the impossible'
