Most of the cats here are of the scaredy cat variety. Mister Misty looks like he wouldnt say boo to a mouse. One of mine climbs up the ladders to the loft and JUMPS down from it without a blink of an eye. Try and beat that.

my cat is a wimp as well. she is the only cat i've known to have nightmares. i will hear her crying during the night and go to her (thinking that she's been hurt) only to find her fast asleep but meowing as though she is in distress. so then i wake her up and reassure her that it was just a bad dream. then she starts purring and all is well again!

How do you reasure her its a bad dream? Have you got special cat speaking powers? Anyway my other cat is even more scared than that, he jumps with every movement i make and goes around crying and feeling sorry for himself though not so much now he has other cat company. So i have the scarediest cat and the toughest top cat.

not that i'm aware of! but it appears that my cat has special human listening powers because she seems to understand when i tell her that she is okay... which means she must be blatantly defying my authority when i tell her not to sharpen her claws on the furniture! right! in future i will tell her that the monsters ARE real.

Looks like your cat doesn't like to be photographed. Look at those eyes (and ears).

Hmm... *looks at George Bush and ponders the axis of evil...* And you reckon that CATS are the evil ones?

why is it that all cats seem to be obsessed with world domination (for example: salem from sabrina the teenage witch. don't EVEN pretend you've never watched it!)?

(That reminds me of the "Cats and Dogs" movie.) I think it may be that cats are associated with world domination because of that elegant aloofness that society tends to mistrust...I believe that stereotype may have been mentioned in an article by Feste-Fenris.

I would upload a picture of my family's own cat looking at us through the windshield before we started up the car and inspired him to run for his life, but I am not sure where or how to upload my photo.

It was the angle and the flash. He had jumped into a drawer while I was putting my laundry away. I've got another picture where he's actually trying to dig the laundry out and launch it onto the ground! Misty's so cute!

Sunny is a little s**t! She gets into so much stuff. She eats plastic bags-- or tries to at least-- eats strings, talks ALL the time-- or rather, whines. And I don't know what she wants from me. So I just answer "What?" and she talks again. Oi! And she also doesn't like sitting on the furniture in the conventional way that my other two cats sit. She either sits on the very back edge of the couch and hangs her front arms over each side, or she refuses to sit on furniture at all and lays on the floor. I can't get her to stay on the couch part of the couch for more than a minute tops.

WEIRD STORY ABOUT SUNNY: When I brought her home from the pet adoption agency, Sunny had gotten spayed (sp?) and so her tummy was shaved. Well, after awhile, she started suckling on her OWN nipple! That didn't last an incredibly long time because the fur started growing back, so now she just nuzzles and licks her belly. It is comforting for her apparently. She was only 6 weeks old when I got her. She was taken away from her mother too soon. But to this day (she's about 4.5 years old) she still does it. And she purs, too.

PS- Pernicious, Bill Clinton had Socks, the cat. And George Bush is the evil one.

For the many cat photographers here: Take a look at The Infinite Cat Project! It's really quite surreal.

I'd submit a photo of one of my own beasts but I think it would claw my face off.

the infinite cat project is brill! what a laugh. one of them MUST be called schroedinger, surely?

(i had a pair of kittens, one white with teeny bits of black, one black with teeny bits of white. i was going to call them both heisenberg, but no-one got it, so one was heisenberg and the other was schroedinger. schro was so daft that even HE wouldn't know if he was alive or dead ).

i also had a cat who got into the oven and tried to kill it. while it was on, and had been for some time. she also took on a lorry and tried to kill it. unfortunately, the lorry won

i've never had a cat who hasn't had far too much personality. all the female cats i'[ve had have been psychopaths. (no exaggeration, really).

Ahh Sophist, your Sunny sounds priceless! Mira shreds people: she has a face like an otter, full of cute blankness, and then you pick her up and she clamps onto your hand! She also sits on the back of the couch rather than on the seat. Oh, and when we feed her fresh meat, she growls the ENTIRE way through eating it! Little feral!

And Vivi... I don't get the joke either! :(

Oh God, I thought you said "I'd submit a photo of one of my own breasts." Haha
