you would love it Mac, im here on the east coast it's been 30-40 degrees celsius for the last two months with no rain, now we have an ex tropical cyclone bearing down on us, expecting 500mm of rain in the next 24-48 hours, got all our supplies and preparations done, now the waiting....... winds are picking up and the sky is turning black as i speak, fun times ahead ;-)

Oh thats not good, 500mm of rain is really bad (thats 19.68 inches for us Americans, lol). I guess it will make up for the rain you didn't get all summer, I heard about what is happening in Queensland with the same storm. Hope you'll fare alright with the storm.

One day I hope to go to Sydney, it's on my list of world cities to visit.

sydney is a great city, yeah im in northern nsw about 700km north of sydney, near the queensland border, the storm is just starting to arrive here, i would love to see america too, the hoover dam, niagra falls, washington and so many places in between, ground zero on a more sobering note, and so many other great things, it is remarkable all the wonders you americans have created, i look up to you guys with great respect.

Had a day a couple of weeks ago that was 43˚C, so when you come to visit, pack your shorts. I can't even imagine what -11 would feel like, must literally be painful.

Happy Australia Day to all the fellow Aussies out there, hope you had a good one.

To the person who deleted my "Australia hates fags" post - it was a reference to the extreme anti-tobacco climate in Oz at the moment and to Fred Phelps. I'd post that funny hate sermon of his (for general amusement) but it would probably get removed.
