That's amazing, I just finished a cup of green tea. I'm no connoisseur, but there's something good about green tea. Something good about how I feel after.

Exactly, it really refreshes you and enlivens the mind too. Its also remarkably effective against many ailments. Heart, stomach cancer, liver, diabetes and many more.

'Yeah Oprah, green tea took over my life and nearly killed me, but with the help of Dr Phils 13 set program I've managed to get the monkey off my back but unfortunalely i've lost all my body hair and finger nails like Ireland's former condesending talk show host and Harley Davidson rider, Gay Byrne (ever wonder why his finger nails are always the same lenght when you see him? cause theyre fake!) and former actor Colin Farrell who is currently working as a Bonsai tree salesman to pay for the insurance on his gold-embossed first edition Ulysess' which he bough from W.B. Yeats Grandson's gardener.'

In the UK the choice is rubbish from the supermarket or the real thing for 4.50 ($7-8). Im interested to know if anyone has tried the better quality ones and what they think compared to the commercial crap?

I LOOOOVE green tea IF it's the right brand. Lipton sells some absolutely horrible stuff that I wouldn't touch. There are some middle-of-the-road green teas that are OK. There are some good expensive ones. There are also some reasonably priced oriental brands available at oriental groceries that are the best of all. The brand I usually buy is Yamamotoyama - and I think a box of 20 tea bags is around $2.00 at the oriental grocery store. It's quite good.

Oolong is a nice tea, can be a little in between green and black with a nice sweet and nutty very fragrant flavor. I would drink it now and then on special occasions when i fancied it but i prefer to drink green generaly as it is not so strong in caffeine and therefore i can drink more cups.

What do you think about Jasmine, manalitwist? I love the stuff, provided (again) that it is bought from the oriental grocer - preferably the Yamamotoyama brand.

As an aside, it surprises me that Lipton - the company that brought us the Yellow Label Tea (yummy!! !) would produce such a vile green tea.

As an interesting aside, I recently had iced Earl Grey. I wouldn't have thought to try Earl Grey iced, but it was quite good.

I like Green Tea. My local Wal-Mart's got some Lipton's for $1.28 a bottle. The bottles are larger than the common 24 oz. bottles. They have Diet at the same price. I've been loading up, but they're going fast. A woman walked by who by the look of her didn't look like someone who'd buy Green Tea and she got a bottle.
