Update on my Starlight:
she's back! (: And adorable as ever.

She likes to sit in my drawer because it's a good hiding place and it's cooler than my room.

picture resized is annoying..................... I didn't want it all squished :x
[Mod. edit: fixed that for you! The easiest way to avoid it is to resize your image so it's no larger than 800x600, before posting]

We always had dogs when i was growing up, mostly shepherds of one kind or another. My best friends were a collie mix, a Shetland sheepdog (who I still miss to this day. Mom had to put her down 2 weeks after dad's funeral. That dog was estimated to be 25 years old. We got her from a jackass of a relative who wanted to skin her alive because she wouldn't hunt rabbits. HELLO????! !! ! Shelties are sheep herders, not beagles or basset hounds, who were bred to hunt rabbit.

That dog was also my best friend. When I'd come home and sit down, she'd be there with the "you want me???" Look. I'd slap my thighs, and up she'd come into my lap.

The only other dog I ever connected with was a bagle (a basset hound/beagle mix.). I came home from church on Sunday, not long after mom put our border collie mix down. She vowed never to get another dog, but our collie began to shut down, since she knew her constant companion was no longer around. As soon as I pulled in the back lot, I'm here, Mom got a basset hound. It took about 2 seconds for that dog to figure out I was a sucker. I found out real fast, by reading the basset hound email lists, that it's really true what the say about basset hounds: You don't own a basset hound, they own you,. You are a food-slave

I'd love to have a dog, but the landlord says no pets. Besides, I can barely take care of myself, let alone a dog.

This is Oren, my little ginger baby. Well, he's not exactly a 'baby' anymore; he'll be three years old in June!

My dogs Momo & Molly watching me while I prepare my dinner. I think they are trying to look sad and pitiful in a bid for a share. Its wasted on me though, since I always serve them the choicest portion of my food before I even eat.

Image

Both looking strong enough to stand now on our morning walk alog the stream. Momo (in back) is a Chihuahua-Toy Fox Terrier mix & Molly who was a rescue is almost certainly a Chihuahua-Datsun.

Molly by the falls.

I am thinking very hard about adopting this 5 year old sweetie, who is currently fostered in my town. She was rescued pregnant from a Euthenizing shelter and the pups have been placed in homes.

This is my cat CK (short for Cyber Kitty, which is a weird name, I know) and my St. Bernard, Brutus. CK is sitting casually on my exercise bike.

These are my two rabbits, Apollo and Cumulonimbus (shortened to 'Cloud'). Apollo is an Old English breed and Cloud is a Californian breed who we rescued because other people don't like red eyes.

My family also owns a few cats which I will try and find photos of.

Beautiful cat - wow. Quite the pose, too. Does he/she still favor baskets?

Hi Alpineglow, I didn't recognise you there with your new avatar :D

Thank you , I do think she is quite pretty, but I am biased. She loved that basket as a kitten, and as you can see, was still trying to squash herself in even when she was a bit too big. We have proper cat-sized baskets but she doesn't seem interested in them any more. Although she still can't resist a good cardboard box.
