You can get them from between $15 and $50 at a thrift store. I really don't care for more than $50 worth of ceiling fan.

I am more particular because I am likely to stare at them quite a bit (as does my son).

So it has to be "right."

I stare at the computer screen. So a screensaver you can download freely off the internet that runs on any computer with a dedicated video chipset is excellent. I can't stand lights because they are flourescent now and flicker like none other and make everything look like it's going in slow motion (why can't they make the phospers more persistant???! !!).

Well! We don't stim off the ceiling fans with the lights on! (That would hurt our delicate eyes! Hehehe...)

Sometimes we have a flashlight that we'll shine on the fan while it is on various speeds.

It is just a stim that my son and I share...Bonding time, I guess.

Oh oh! Have you ever done it with a laser?? It's Awesome!

Sorry!

I've been away!

No, we have not tried it with a laser...Sounds fun though!

I have no idea how much my celing fans cost. My mom added all five of them as options when we got our house built. So they just came with it. Mom is looking to add one to the sun room though, so I'll try and check out the price when we get it.

I have never heard of such expensive ceiling fans. What's the point? Do the expensive ones have crystal chandeliers attached or gold-plated fan blades? The most expensive one my folks ever got was a $100 Hunter brand and works great and looks good.

I like the one that looks like a jet fighter plane but those are still less than $200.

Yeah, Hunter has been in the ceiling fan business for almost 100 years.
