I loveallcats but am partial to Siamese, especially sealpoint. I have a solid black DSH now and she's pretty cool, except for some litterbox issues. She stays outside now, but she's half wild so she likes it better outside anyway.

I like all cats my favourites are Tabby cats both the black tabbies and the ginger tabbies.
The only ones I don't really like are the ones with the squashed in faces.

I think the mix-breed Tabbys tend to live a longer then most, something that I really like about them.

Siamese cats can be really frendly in their own unique way. I'll usually take in the cat that needs a home badly no matter what breed they are. I am not into the werid breeding practices meny breeders do now a days, pure bread cats are so expensive and meny have health issues, its so sad what some breeders do.

Even though I've only ever had DSH cats so far I'd love get a Maine Coon! They're just so big and fluffy and heavy. :) A Ragdoll might be nice, too. Whenever I'm in a position to keep a cat again I'll look into those more closely.

Wow... I mean, I love most cats, but that just looks like some evil magical creature out of a fantasy movie.

I've got a calico and a Norwegian Forest Cat. The latter is similar to a Maine Coon, but has distinctive tufts of fur between the toes in their paws. Both are adorable. :)

Actually, maine coons also have tufts between their toes, as do siberians.
Usually, it is said that NFO have triangular faces, MCO have square faces and SIB have round faces. Aslo NFO have a higher rear and a longer body than a MCO, who is more square. SIB have more rounded ears than both NFO and MCO, and both MCO and SIB have a stop, which a NFO should not.

It should also be noted that calico is not a breed, it's a coloration. So saying you like caloco or tabby etc only means you like tri-colored cats or striped cats, regardless of breed.

I would love to be owned by a Classic Gray British Shorthair Cat someday. It must be the chubby face and the gray fur. I wonder how soft their fur is?

*throws hands up* Okay, I'm sorry. I don't like to get super specific about my cats, they're just my cats.

I'm sorry, I might have misread your post. I interpreted it as stating the difference between NFO and MCO were the furry toes, and I guess I did the EmberEyes-version of the Aspie and launched into spouting facts...

Maine coons!!

I had 3 that I adopted from a rescue group. All are gone now. :(
My favorite came in at 22 pounds and was almost invincible. He was hit by a bus, shot by a neighbor with buckshot, and fought off a beagle/bassett mix. He never stopped kicking. He was with me for 12 years when he just went to sleep and never woke up. I haven't been able to be around cats for very long since; it just hurts too much and I start crying like a little baby.
